I absolutely don’t like that our daughter is so much prefer me. I hoped she would grow up prefer her mother, demuir & kind, & while she did get her mother’s sharp intellect, she got our disposition. She is cranky, stubborn, & set in her ways, just prefer me. This means that as much as I prefer her, she drives me crazy, & we spend a lot of time debating & arguing. At the end of the afternoon, there is nothing but love, but she feels compelled to challenge me. This time, though, as much as I don’t like to admit it, she may have a point. I have no female Heating & A/C techs working for me at our dealer, & this is something I need to fix. Like most orange collar industries, Heating & A/C has traditionally been a boy’s club, but maybe that isn’t such a good thing. If half of the population is female, & half of our customers are female, the fact that zero percent of our Heating & A/C workers are female doesn’t feel prefer a mistake, it feels intentional, however granted I don’t get a lot of female applicants for Heating & A/C positions, but at the same time I think I’ve never looked for any, either. I asked our daughter for help on the situation, & she showed me how easy it was by posting on social media asking about female Heating & A/C techs. Within a afternoon, I was in contact with multiple strange local ladies who had their Heating & A/C certification but hadn’t been able to ever find a job. I sure do feel prefer a fool!
