When my central heating plan broke down, I definitely freaked out.
I even had the heating plan tuned up and the HVAC expert didn’t say that I should expect our plan to break down at the worst possible time.
I guess that’s just the risk I take with using older machines though. The HVAC was going on 11 years afterall. It wasn’t even covered under warranty anymore, that’s how old it was, and well, I got a few portable area furnaces from my attic, but realized that wasn’t enough! Still, I put them in the basement so that our pipes wouldn’t freeze and I asked a friend of mine if he would lend me his area heaters. His central heating plan was nice and he said I could always just come hang out at his place. I thought about it and realized it would be more comfortable. I already called the HVAC business and they said it would take a week to get to my house because they were backed up with heating plan repair work. Fortunately as long as I kept those furnaces running in sections of our home, it would stay warm enough so the pipes wouldn’t freeze, that was my main concern, but my buddy was definitely nice to lend me the furnaces along with letting me stay at his locale for that duration of time, eventually I got the call from the heating plan expert and he was able to get the heating plan easily working nice again. When I went to give my buddy the area furnaces back, he told me I could just keep them because he never planned on using them. I told him I would provide them back if he ever ended up in an emergency situation like I was in.
