I spent a year at the local community school taking Heating and A/C classes, but i passed every test that I had to take, and I graduated in the top 5% of the class. The next step I had to take was to take my Heating and A/C certification test. My hands were shaking so badly that I was sure I wasn’t going to be able to finish the test, however right before I went into the classroom, my instructor came out, then he patted myself and others on the back and told myself and others to just take a deep breath. I took a deep breath, but the only thing that helped was I wasn’t holding my breath anymore. He laughed, and told myself and others that if I did as well on the Heating and A/C certification test as I had done in the Heating and A/C classroom, he had a task for me. I guess this was meant to make myself and others more comfortable, but all it did was put my nerves even more on edge. There was now a lot riding on this test, other than just passing it. If I were to be top dog on the Heating and A/C certification test, I knew I was going to have the task that I have been dreaming of. I sat down at my desk, closed my eyes, and took many deep breaths, and when I opened my eyes, everything on the test sheet looked so easy. I thought I knew the answer to every question that I learn over, but I knew it couldn’t be this easy. I was just finishing up the last question, when they called time! After many weeks of waiting, I finally got my test results. I guess my new boss had to have heard myself and others from 15 miles away, because I shouted so loud when I saw that I aced the test.
