I initially thought we had space heaters in this cabin, but it is actually a central HVAC system with radiators in each room controlled by a central smart thermostat. As I’ve always lived in warm climates and never had to use heat, I don’t know much about it. In the northern part of the country, near the mountains, it is much colder, so heat is essential. Despite climate change heating up the globe, I don’t think anyone in this town has air conditioning. This town rarely sees hot days, even in the middle of the summer, as it sits way up north, not too far from the North Pole. Although I’ve never been this far north before, I don’t think I could live without beach volleyball. Here, we use a lot of heating during the day and night and even have a big fire burning in the fireplace most of the time. If it works out, I may even bring my roommate up here for a visit every once in a while. I just moved in with her recently, and she works as a heating and cooling technician in a store very close to me. I kind of like her, but at the end of the day, I will let her make the final decision.
