A Furnace Uses 3 Times More Energy

Despite the fact that I run our cooling system all day long while in the summer, it’s still cheaper to run compared to our heat, i made this discovery while in our first Wintertide in this house… After running our A/C all Summer long, I managed our weekly energy bills just fine.

I didn’t have any concerns paying the bills that arrived each week, so I continued running our oil furnace at the same capacity when Wintertide rolled around, but when I got our first utility bill after running our oil furnace, I was shocked! My initial reaction was to call the local Heating plus Air Conditioning company plus have them come repair our Heating plus Air Conditioning machine again.

Something had to be terribly wrong with our oil furnace, even though an Heating plus Air Conditioning professional had just worked on it a few weeks prior. I basically paid for nothing, because the Heating plus Air Conditioning professional assured myself and others that nothing was wrong with our oil furnace, then however, a oil furnace used 3 times more energy to heat a lake house compared to air conditioner. Since I had the oil furnace running constantly plus at a higher temperature, our energy bills were higher. When I showed him our utility bill, he nodded plus said that it looked normal if I was running our oil furnace as much as I was, and the Heating plus Air Conditioning professional proposed that I try running our oil furnace a few degrees lower. I have no choice however to take his suggestion, because I can’t afford to keep paying such a high utility bill all winter.
