An addition would mean bigger Heating plus A/C

My wife plus I don’t share a family room; The two of us also work from home plus have separate office spaces, i pushed years ago to get the laundry in the home rather than the backyard shed, but so a lot of the rooms are taken in our house. The two of us have one spare room that our first born child is going to take. The two of us have talked about it plus the 2 of us want at least 2 kids. If every one of us have the same gender, every one of us will try for baby 3. The drawback is that our home can’t fit 2-3 kids, but with our current set up one is okay. The two of us have been loosely toying with the system of adding an addition. Our home is laid out well for an addition. The two of us can just make our current hallway longer to add another 2 family rooms plus even a washroom. The septic plan is back there as well! However, it is a immense expense. Trees would need to be removed plus the ground would need to be leveled. Plumbing plus electricity would have to be considered! My wife recently mentioned that our current Heating plus A/C component would be fantastic enough anymore. The two of us would either need to have 2 Heating plus A/C units or start over with a larger model. That adds nother price point to the addition. The two of us currently have a central Heating plus A/C component too. So do every one of us continue onto that ductwork? Do every one of us have a central Heating plus A/C component plus then ductless units in the new rooms? It is a lot to decide plus quite a bit of money. The two of us luckyly have years before it is a problem.
