She wanted to guess where Grandma was and she told her she was hear to fix the oil furnace. When she asked him how much mommy owed, she told her she owed him a hug and chocolate donut. Two months later, I had to have the AC component ran tests on before summer. When the Heating and A/C worker arrived, my child was home. She asked him what she charged for her work? She said she didn’t set the prices. The Heating and A/C company she worked for told him what she could charge. She told him she worked for the wrong Heating and A/C company. Her Grandpa ran tests on our oil furnace a while ago, and all she charged was a hug and a chocolate donut. I almost spit my pop out, when she looked at me. I told him my father owned the Heating and A/C company. When she showed up she asked for a hug and her favorite chocolate donuts. The Heating and A/C worker laughed and told her she would take the chocolate donut, but she didn’t suppose her wife would appreciate if she got hugs from such appealing little women.

My best buddy was building a house.

Adjusting to the chilly climates

I never say anything approaching snow or ice all through my youth and teenage years.
When you only see snow on TV, it looks love a lot of fun, now that I have moved up north I see that the reality of snow involves a lot more work, however making a snowman, or having a snowball fight, is consistently a lot of fun. What isn’t fun is shoveling the driveway so you can transport the car, or leaving all the faucets dripping so that the water pipes don’t freeze and burst. It surely has been an adjustment, however thankfully I have a great heating plan so at least that isn’t one of my worries. I am approaching the end of my first full Winter up north, and I am deeply thankful for the oil furnace in the basement. I was a bit upset at first, because this was the oldest oil furnace I had ever seen in my life, however coming from the south I wasn’t used to having a basement, nor had I encountered such a large, heavy oil furnace. This oil furnace is literally older than I am, and yet it still runs amazingly well. The realtor told me that the oil furnace was so important it had been installed while we were in the initial construction of the house! That means they installed the furnace, and then built the lake house over the top of it. This oil furnace is so important it can’t ever be moved without causing major destruction to the house, so I hope it keeps laboring for a long time.
