He was pretty steamed about a lack of cooling, but mom pointed out that with the money they had saved from the hotel reservations, it would be easy to buy a small AC unit for the location. In the local hardware store, they found a small, portable a/c, just enough to cool down a room at a time. It cost mom & Mom one hundred bucks, & they admitted it was the best one hundred bucks they’d ever spent, because that cooling was infancy.
