I started out by saving currency in a separate savings account. And then we went to the HVAC business to speak with the HVAC professionals about what was currently in residential HVAC. It’s a good thing that I did that given all the changes in HVAC technology in the past 25 years. I was so proud of the fact that the seasoned HVAC device lasted 25 years. That’s a testament to HVAC service for sure. So that may have been a bit of the feelings that caught me by surprise. My parents were sort of hippies and we lived absolutely simply. Honestly, it was a great way to grow up. We grew most of our own food, had animals and there was consistently something to do together. I know the being together part was awesome. But our house had a wood stove for heating and I suppose we ended up trading for a window a/c device at some point. While I don’t live quite like our parents did, I carry a lot of that spirit with me. I firmly think in protecting resources and that’s true when it comes to heating and cooling. Our HVAC device has the latest in HVAC technology for residential HVAC. The SEER rating is just about the highest one can find so it’s the most efficient on the market. I don’t need new cars or costly clothes. Buying stuff is not something that I need to do for fun or fulfillment. Actually, I buy what I need and spend the rest of the money on our family. Still, when I come home at the end of the day, I do need to love that attractive heating and cooling I get when I walk through the door. As long as I can count on our HVAC device to supply the quality heating and air I need, I’ll be just fine.
