It’s funny how when I was absolutely having to be inside my car with the a/c cranking for company travel, it was sort of better.
For sure, I couldn’t cover the territory as quickly as I could using air travel.
But when we got sent apartment to work remotely from the central a/c of our homes, I had to figure a way to get to my clients. That’s what I do. I’m sort of the guy who oversees our services and makes onsite visits to substitute, update or sometimes, sell current services. I couldn’t do all of that from the cooling comfort of my apartment office the Summer of 2020. So I packed up the car, kissed my partner and turned the a/c on high inside my car before hitting the road. And I was, more or less, gone for the entire Summer. Sometimes, I’d stop for a couple of nights at apartment on my way through town. But primarily, I was out on the road and sleeping in hotels and motels along the interstate. It turned out to be just the thing though as we were able to get through that challenging period. And once again, I’m inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation plus A/C of my office and traveling for company via commercial aviation. But, I’m no longer staying at the lavish, downtown hotels. Instead, I adore the airport hotels that have the wall component commercial Heating, Ventilation plus A/C equipment. This is just the sort of commercial Heating, Ventilation plus A/C that I could always rely upon when I was out on the road that whole Summer. As long as the room is clean and I can catch a cab to my meetings, I’d adore to stay where I can particularly count on the heating and cooling.
