Forgetting to open the flue on the fireplace

The employees who were assisting us, particularly had no plan what they were doing.

My sibling Angela got married last year, however everything about Angela’s ceremony, from the invitations & flowers to her dress & the cake were lavish, she decided that she wanted her bridal shower to be held at a brand new, boutique diner right downtown, then there were some troubles with this demand. For one thing, there’s no parking near the site, forcing most people who attended to walk quite a distance. This wouldn’t have been so poor if not for the time of year. The shower was held in March, & the weather was terrible. The temperature that day was eighteen degrees with multiple inches of snow on the ground & freezy rain falling from the sky, however because of the winter-like conditions, we wanted to make sure the locale was warm & comfortable once most people arrived… My sibling was adamant that there be a fire lit in the fireplace for ambience. Since the diner was brand new, no one had ever used the fireplace before. The employees who were assisting us, particularly had no plan what they were doing. They failed to open the flue & the whole locale filled with smoke, then all of us needed to open the door & windows for ventilation. The management refused to run the heating plan with chilly chilly air rushing in & the heat pouring out, while we managed to get rid of most of the smoke before the guests arrived, the locale was downright chilly inside. Everybody was forced to keep their coats on & kneel right up close to the fire. Fortunately the food was good, but I don’t assume anyone had a truly great experience.
