When I called the Heating and A/C company to have service done on my oil furnace, the first thing the Heating and A/C company receptionist told me, was to make sure my animals were kennelled, then i had no concern putting my pet in her kennel, and I told her so, she gave me the time when the Heating and A/C worker would arrived, and reminded me they had a multiple-third window.
Surprisingly, the Heating and A/C worker showed up right on time.
She told me she was running right on time, which was an oddity, and she hoped I had the animals put away, however the only animal I didn’t have put away was my fish. They were happily swimming around in my fish tank, and knew they would not be a concern for the Heating and A/C worker. I totally misjudged the situation, when the Heating and A/C worker walked through the kitchen, she stood still and couldn’t move. She stared at the fish tank and was speechless. I told him they were only fish and they couldn’t get out of the tank. She started crying, and wanted to guess why the people I was with and I didn’t tell him about the fish. I couldn’t believe this 250 pound Heating and A/C worker was petrified of fish. She said her uncle used to teased him with fish. She couldn’t look at a fish separate from becoming catatonic. I apologized, but no 1 had ever told me I had to hide my fish from the Heating and A/C worker. I had to call the Heating and A/C company and tell them they needed to send another Heating and A/C worker. When I told them what happened, the owner of the Heating and A/C company started laughing so hard that she couldn’t breathe, and she asked me to repeat the story again while she put me on speaker.
