I noticed a commercial for a single of those overpriced Wi-Fi programmable temperature controls, and the commercial made claims that the temperature controls could save the homeowner up to 10% on their energy bills.
Additionally, the ad said that aged temperature controls could be costing the homeowner more currency each year, but that took me by surprise because I have a digital temperature control and I had never heard any mention of it possibly costing more money.
So, of course, I decided to Google this claim because I wanted to find out for myself. And sure enough, multiple of the Heating, Ventilation and A/C providers recommend upgrading to a newer temperature control especially if it is a manual or battery-operated device. And if the temperature control is over 10 years old, it is easily suggested that you invest in a new model. My temperature control is over 10 years old. In fact, it is closer to 15 years old, which is the same for my Heating, Ventilation and A/C device. I suppose that I will need to replace the Heating, Ventilation and A/C device very soon. At that time, I planned on investing in a new temperature control! However, now that I suppose that my older temperature control could be costing me more on my utility bill, I might invest in something new. The Wi-Fi capable temperature control would supply me better control of my Heating, Ventilation and A/C device which will then create more comfort inside my household. I am not the type of person to purchase the next best gadget that is being provided, however when I see value in the product, I don’t mind making the investment. And if it will save the 10% as displayed, then in no time, the temperature control will certainly pay for itself. I can’t ask for too much more than that to be honest.
