There’s nothing more bothersome than residing with your mom! And I’m sorry if you’ve been in a related situation as I have recently.
Of course, this frustration only gets more valid with age.
If you are an adult residing with your mother, I’m guessing you definitely get how bothersome it is. When I moved out to go to college I genuinely did not anticipate that I would be back in 10 years. Or EVER. All of the things that I despised about residing with my mom as a little one apparently never changed. She is still unpredictable and a real authoritarian when it comes to using the indoor heating and cooling equipment… My whole childhood was severely uncomfortable because she literally never wanted to use the gas furnace or cooling equipment. As an adult, clearly that is still the exact same. She never wants me to touch the temperature control or actually use the energy efficient gas furnace and cooling equipment that she bought. For the past many weeks, I have been losing my head while trying to save up money by staying with her. I finally moved out and purchased a property for myself, thinking it was going to be extremely comfortable! Well… I suddenly discovered, I also do not appreciate using my central heating and cooling equipment. She was correct all along, Heating, Ventilation, and A/C systems are a pretty serious pain in the butt. They’re seriously pricey to operate and to regularly maintain. I always gave my mother such a strenuous time about trying to keep the pricey air quality control equipment turned off, however now that I have my own central Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment, I do not want to touch the temperature control equipment either.
