I don’t want to have to deal with pollutants from cigarette smoke

I once dated a lady that smoked a great deal, plus it didn’t last for very long.

While I liked her a lot, I couldn’t get over her bad habit.

When my friend and I dated, she used to spend the night at my household, however she was polite enough to ask me if she could smoke inside my house which I politely told her no. I did have a screened in patio area plus she was free to smoke there whenever she wanted. I recognize that cigarette smoke gets into clothing plus fabric plus that odor is difficult to remove, plus the last thing that I wanted was for my household to smell exactly like cigarettes all the time. She knew I didn’t love the smell, so she never invited me to her arena. To be honest, I didn’t mind because I assumed that I would have been coughing from the smell of cigarette smoke, but studies have shown that cigarette smoke increases air pollutants inside the household. The smell is absorbed into rugs, curtains, furniture, plus it also gets into the HVAC vents plus circulates throughout the household. The air filter inside the HVAC component is not equipped to filter out the pollutants produced by cigarette smoke. So, the entire household or apartment will have this pollutant lingering throughout the space. I didn’t want to take the risk of dealing with bad air quality in my household that could potentially seep into my HVAC device, so I could not allow that woman to smoke anywhere near the inside. Well, my friend and I dated for less than a year, but the relationship ended because I refused to spend the night at her household. I honestly didn’t want to have to be uncomfortable because the air smelled of terrible cigarette smoke.
