I labor for a delivery service, as well as the other afternoon I ended up having to give an entire gas furnace unit; Normally I do not have to give anything like the gas furnaces or a/cs because the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C companies around here tend to do that kind of delivery themselves.
However, once in a while they get overwhelmed with deliveries as well as if that is when I end up having to do them. I have to admit that these are not my favorite types of deliveries at all. The heating as well as cooling units are way larger than most of the stuff that I usually end up delivering. They are also much heavier than I like to have to deal with on my own. Usually I do not have anyone riding along with me on my delivery circuit. Whenever I have something like a gas furnace or an a/c, it takes a lot out of me to try as well as get it delivered to the right spot. Usually I have to roll it on a dolly into the homeowner’s garage or something like that. It’s even worse when the homeowner is not condo as well as I have to figure out somewhere to put it so it won’t get disfigured. Sometimes there is a covered porch, however occasionally there is nowhere to put it at all! That’s when I end up having to kneel there as well as call my dispatch to see what I am supposed to do. Half the time I end up calling a gas furnace or an air conditioner unit all the way back to the delivery hub with me just because I could not leave it.
