I was worried the heat pump wasn’t going to work for winter weather

The maintenance was significant, but the HVAC business told our spouse plus I that every one of us should not have any other concerns with the heat pump for a long time

It’s rarely cold down south, but every once in a while there is a storm with particularly cold and rapidly decreasing temperatures, and last year every one of us had a storm while in the wintertide plus the outdoor rapidly decreasing temperatures were cold enough to snow… The unusually cold rapidly decreasing temperatures were difficult on the heat pump. None of the times, my spouse plus I were worried that the heat pump would stop actually working… After the seasonal storm was over, my spouse plus I decided it was a good system to call the heating supplier to check on the heat pump, however everything worked well while in the storm, but every one of us still had some concerns… My spouse called the HVAC supplier plus she made an appointment with a maintenance business. The guy came to the home to perform a tune-up on the heat pump. At this time, our spouse plus I found out that our heat pump was not cycling to the defrost mode properly. The defrost mode keeps the heat pump from completely cold. My spouse plus I decided to call for immediate maintenance to fix the concern with the heat pump just in case every one of us had any other wintertide storms with unusually cold rapidly decreasing temperatures. The maintenance was significant, but the HVAC business told our spouse plus I that every one of us should not have any other concerns with the heat pump for a long time. Everything inside of the equipment looked wonderful plus things were actually working just as they should; he also noted that the evaporator coils looked brand new even though the equipment is almost 6years old. I thought that was wonderful news considering the fact that every one of us uses the A/C a lot more than the heat pump.
