I already miss the Winter. That’s because I love the type of Winter weather that I now get to enjoy. It’s just so much better than what I lived with for nearly 45 years. I never got accustomed to a Winter that needed a gas furnace for heating. For sure, I was so thankful to have that gas furnace when it came to having a cozy home during those rough Winters. Still, when I had the chance to move to the south, I went for it. The company I work for had an opening in the southern office. When I went down there for the interview, I noticed right away that there was zone controlled HVAC in the building. Every boss I spoke with had a thermostat in their office. So I knew that trading a gas furnace for a heat pump wasn’t going to be bad when it came to the office. I knew that I was going to have plenty of air conditioning comfort if I were to get the job. I did get the job and I have really enjoyed living down here. I also met my wife down here which is pretty wonderful as well. But this time of year, I’m sort of in mourning when it comes to the fact that Winter is over. The temperatures are rising and soon, the air conditioning will be on pretty much all the time. But this year, I’m going to enjoy the sunroom a whole lot more throughout our summer due to some HVAC technology. We had the HVAC company come out and install a ductless heat pump inside our sunroom. So this summer instead of feeling like it’s an oven out there, I’ll be able to enjoy some cooling comfort instead.
