Multiple kinds of furnaces

I have been looking into putting in a furnace.

My old heating system turned up and quit on me.

Replacing it with a furnace will be no big deal. The snag is that I don’t know what kind of furnace to get. There are oil, gas and electric options. The oil furnace burns a hotter flame which means it is more effective. The cost of oil is so expensive. Also, an oil heater requires an on site oil tank. It is big, ugly and takes up valuable space. A gas furnace is a much better choice in that it is cheaper and more known among homeowners. The cost of gas is way better and easier to get. However, the installation for this heater is quite involved since it requires gas hookups and a flue system. Additionally a gas furnace requires a lot of maintenance. You need to be on it with cleaning. If the gas heater is left dirty, it can easily overheat and catch on fire. If you aren’t good about washing the inner workings, don’t go for a gas heater. An electric heater is easier to install and the fuel isn’t bad. However, the cost of using eclectic is significant. You can’t use an electric heater as a main heating system. It will bankrupt you. Only those in milder climates should use it. That is why I think a gas heater might be my best option. It is the cheapest and I think I can handle the cleaning for it. It will be easy to schedule yearly heating service.
