He was a real piece of work and a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning serviceman, which is what my ex-husband did for a living. Over the years, I have met a lot of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning service technicians, and they are all overwhelmingly nice people. They all appear to enjoy working with the general public and to be amiable and outgoing. My ex-husband, however, was somewhat unique. Despite the fact that I didn’t recognize it until it was too late and that my partner and I were already married, he was frequently a bit of a weirdo. My partner was working on my furnace system at my house when my associate and I first spoke. My heat pump was making this strange noise, and it also had serious internal problems. I was unsure of what it was, despite the fact that I knew the loud sound it was making was abnormal. Normally, when it was running, it would produce a low humming sound, but that wasn’t the case right now. The noise resembled a strange loud popping sound followed by a roar. The furnace would always operate in the same manner when it turned on. I made an appointment with my neighborhood Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning supplier because I was aware that it posed a fire risk. Anyway, one thing led to another, and I eventually started dating the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning service technician who came out to fix the heat pump that day. By the time my friend and I got married, it was already too late for me to realize that he was not an ordinary man. However, my friend and I only had a short-lived marriage—about a year. He’s now someone else’s problem, and I’m glad about that.
