My kids really want to go to the zoo later on this week but it has really been cold around here this week. I honestly feel like the temperature outside should have started heating up by now, but it hasn’t. Usually it is warmer by the first week of April, but it’s still really cold right now. I don’t know what’s going on with the weather, but I for one am ready to see the sunshine again. I think that the winter weather lasts entirely too long around here. I wouldn’t mind moving somewhere warmer, to tell you the truth. Unfortunately for me, my husband’s whole family lives around here where the weather is always freezing. He does not want to move away, even though I complain about the cold weather every single year. I mean honestly, if we lived somewhere else, I could take my kids to the zoo all the time. Right now, we can only go a few times during the summer because it is too cold the rest of the year! I told them that I would go ahead and try it, but I am definitely not looking forward to it. At least some of the zoo exhibits have furnace systems installed inside of them. Most of the time, when we go to the zoo in the winter we are so cold that we don’t even enjoy ourselves at all. Hopefully, they will also have all of the portable heating units set up around the zoo and turned on full blast too. If not, we might regret going!
