I also would take more time by adding another step. I let my father talk myself and others out of it. I live down south, how frigid can it get? Well now that I am finished I should have listened to my brother. I hate having frigid tiles under my feet. I have invested in quite a few throw carpets to soften the hardness as well as add a little warmth. I own a central furnace but that heat rises to the ceiling. The floors always recognize cold. I know my furnace won’t last forever. When it breaks it will kill myself and others that I will need to buy a modern one. If I had radiant heating, that would not be a problem.
