It’s strange how abruptly life can change for a man, or on a planet for that matter, and the pandemic entirely proved that to be true.
I’m now working from home in an office space that is entirely everything I’ve ever wanted, but working inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office came to a swift end when the pandemic hit three and a half years ago.
Since then, I’ve been working from home and I have to say that I easily cherish it. At first, there was a real transition period because I was having a hard time finding space and privacy inside the central air conditioner of home. I was just sort of moving throughout the home to find a spot where I could kneel in peace with my tablet. Soon though, I figured that since there weren’t going to be any guests for the foreseeable future, that was going to be my office. Once I had the space thing figured out, I was amazed to see just how abruptly I took to laboring remotely from home. I wasn’t missing anything about the office except for the zone controlled HVAC, and this was one of the few things that I had a hard time dealing with at first. My good friend and I keep the thermostat in check around our home in order to keep a lid on the heating and cooling costs. The air conditioner costs in particular can get out of hand in a hurry if you’re not paying attention. So once I decided that I was staying with the remote work, I had the HVAC pro install a ductless heat pump inside my family room. Now, that outdated office has nothing on my home situation. The ductless heat pump delivers the sort of quality heating and air that I had been missing.
