My wife and I recently moved to a new neighborhood and we had to have a couple of repairs completed before we could settle into the house.
There was a roof repair that needed to be completed and the garage was a mess. The AC system wasn’t in the best shape either, so I contacted a repair technician nearby to perform a service checkup. The service technician came over to the house on Tuesday to complete the service checkup. The AC repair technician was too chatty for me. He kept asking me a lot of questions about the neighborhood and the house. The kids seem like he might be a little off, so I was trying not to be rude. I disappeared into the house a couple of different times and the AC repair technician followed me into the house to talk about the AC system or something that didn’t have anything at all to do with the repair. After a while I finally had to tell the guy that I had some work to do. He disappeared into the garage to finish with the service appointment. The guy probably could have finished in half the time if he wouldn’t have been talking, but he definitely performed a thorough inspection of the mechanical and electrical parts. There was no doubt at all that the AC was ready to run all summer after the guy was done with the system. I’m still waiting on the guy to make the roof repair. He was supposed to come last weekend, but it was raining. Once we have the repairs done, we can finally relax and take a breath.
