After the quarantine was lifted, I was very nervous to return to work.
I liked working from home and I would have been happy to stay home where it was safe.
Unfortunately, my boss and the owner of the company wanted us to get back to the office as soon as possible. I returned to work on the Monday after the ban. Things were a lot different in the office. They placed several hand sanitizer stations on the floor. They also purchased several air purifiers to keep in the office. One of those air purifiers is located very close to my desk. The air purifier is extremely loud and noisy and I find it very difficult to work when the machine is running. It’s very difficult to hear customers on the phone. I find myself asking customers to repeat themselves frequently. The guy that sits next to me isn’t very happy with the air purifier either. A couple of days ago, I heard him asking the boss if we could move it to a different area. The boss refused and said the reason was due to the coverage of the air purifiers and the square footage. I don’t know if it was the truth, but it sounded legitimate. I’ll be very happy when the Coronavirus is no longer an issue for everyone. I really hope we are nearing a turning point, now that people can get vaccinated. I’m ready to get back to regular life. The kids are ready to play with their friends and go to school. Everyone is ready to return to life as normal.
