I was talking to our father the other day & I told him I needed to have our furnace repaired.
He told myself and others he would come to the home & take care of the furnace.
It had been a long time since he had tested a furnace! Ever since he took over ownership of the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier, he was stuck in an office. He tested the furnace for almost an hour, & was just finishing up when our daughter came home from pre-university, my father greeted her at the door & she squealed. She wanted to think where Grandma was & he told her he was hear to service the furnace. When she asked him how much mommy owed, he told her she owed him a hug & chocolate donut. Two months later, I had to have the A/C component inspected before summer. When the Heating & Air Conditioning worker arrived, our daughter was home. She asked him what he charged for his work? He said he didn’t set the prices. The Heating & Air Conditioning supplier he worked for told him what he could charge. She told him he worked for the wrong Heating & Air Conditioning supplier. Her Grandfather tested our furnace a while ago, & all he charged was a hug & a chocolate donut. I almost spit our Tim Hortons Coffee out, when he looked at me. I told him our father owned the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier. When he showed up he asked for a hug & her favorite chocolate donuts. The Heating & Air Conditioning worker laughed & told her he would take the chocolate donut, although he didn’t think his wife would like if he got hugs from such appealing little ladies.
