I was talking to our father the other morning and I told him I needed to have our oil furnace repaired.
He told myself and others he would come to the lake house and take care of the oil furnace.
It had been a long time since he had diagnosed a oil furnace, however ever since he took over ownership of the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company, he was stuck in an office. He diagnosed the oil furnace for almost an hour, and was just finishing up when our daughter came home from pre-school… My father greeted her at the door and she squealed. She wanted to think where Grandmother was and he told her he was hear to fix the oil furnace. When she asked him how much mommy owed, he told her she owed him a hug and chocolate donut. Two weeks later, I had to have the A/C unit tested before summer. When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman arrived, our daughter was home. She asked him what he charged for his work? He said he didn’t set the prices. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company he worked for told him what he could charge. She told him he worked for the wrong Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company. Her Grandpa diagnosed our oil furnace a while ago, and all he charged was a hug and a chocolate donut. I almost spit our Dunkin Donuts Coffee out, when he looked at me. I told him our father owned the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company. When he showed up he asked for a hug and her favorite chocolate donuts. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman laughed and told her he would take the chocolate donut, however he didn’t know his fiance would love if he got hugs from such good little girls.
