The people I was with and I were all fairly distracted at the dinner table last night.
I was so unsure about my upcoming exams plus excused myself early to go plus study.
My parents were quite miserable, plus we all knew they had gotten into an argument. Since our father had learned about mom cheating on him, tensions have been especially high between them. The people I was with and I were all walking on eggshells pretty much lest we get caught in between one of their agonizing fights. I just wished they’d see a therapist or choose to be apart since they were both so irritated. I didn’t know when I passed out with books all over me, but I woke up abruptly because of a bang. Rushing out of my room, I bumped into a Mom who was coming to wake myself and others up. The people I was with and I all ran for our lives to the outside, unsure what had caused the loud bang! As we walked to the side of the dwelling, we came across the outdoor HVAC appliance, which was engulfed in flames. An acquaintance came rushing with a fire extinguisher plus put out the flames. Mom proceeded to turn off the air conditioner appliance in the dwelling as we waited for the Fire Department. Mom also called the area HVAC company requesting emergency services. A van with two HVAC specialists was able to show up a little while after the Fire Department. They assessed the outdoor HVAC appliance which was so black because of the crazy fire… One of them asked if any maintenance had been completed on the appliance. Mom said no. It turns out, dirt had been gathering in the outdoor HVAC equipment causing the condenser to overheat. This is why the a/c blew up the way it did. My parents totally began blaming each other for the oversight, plus I just walked back into the dwelling with my brothers.
