When my husband and I toured homes there was a place I really wanted.
It had a gorgeous living room area with floor to ceiling windows.
It showed the perfectly maintained backyard and flower gardens. The room had brick floors and a wood ceiling. What was great is that there was a cutout in the kitchen. You could see the view from the kitchen or peek at the person in the living room. I wanted the house for those features. My husband was concerned about the layout. The front of the house had a lot of rooms added on. A laundry room and another bedroom were added but not insulated. There also were only bathrooms in the back of the house. So if you used that new bedroom, you would have had quite a hike to pee. Also the house had three HVAC units. My husband was really upset by that fact. He said it would be too much time, effort and money to keep up with three heating and cooling units. He also said needing multiple HVAC devices indicates something is wrong. I didn’t think much about HVAC at all. I just wanted that view. He finally convinced me to choose a different house. Now that I live in a house and care for the HVAC equipment, I am glad we have a single unit. My husband is right, there must have been a loss of air somewhere in that house to need three heaters and air conditioners. It is a shame though. That house has some really pretty features.
