That’s why the air conditioner had stopped working the previous day
Jack was finally heading home after such a long day working out in the sun. As an employee of the city, he worked in road construction which wasn’t all that bad. He got a nice wage and benefits, which helped him raise his kids. Ever since he separated from their mom, he bought another house, and they always came over to stay with him during the weekends. It was Friday, and Jack wanted to pass by the grocery store to do some shopping then proceed home. His kids were coming over the next day, and they had grand plans in mind. When Jack got home, he went straight to the thermostat to adjust the settings. The place felt quite humid and hot, making it quite uncomfortable. But, Jack noticed the thermostat was correctly set. Only the indoor unit was off. This wasn’t a good sign since Jack detested sleeping in a house without air conditioning. But, it was too late to call the air conditioner mechanic to come and fix it. The price for emergency HVAC repair was quite high, so instead, he chose to book an appointment for early the next morning. That night, Jack relied on a portable AC to remain cool. The air conditioner mechanic came at the agreed time and noticed the issue was a faulty capacitor. That’s why the air conditioner had stopped working the previous day. When the air conditioner worker was done repairing the unit, his kids were already in his house. They were all gathered in the kitchen making pizzas, as was their weekend tradition.
