In order for my partner and I to be able to run the furnace in our home in the event of a power outage, we purchased a generator.
For a few years, my friend and I had discussed purchasing a generator, but the time just never seemed right.
After my associate and I dealt with a hurricane, our neighbor’s friend ultimately decided to purchase one of those sizable whole-home generator systems. Every time my associate and I left our front door, it seemed like my husband and I had to look at the sizable generator next to their house. Observing their generator kept reminding my associate and me that we wanted to purchase one for ourselves. My partner and I were extremely cold all the time after the hurricane because our furnace was broken, and the only source of heat in our home was the fireplace. It was a trying period. The heating was only one of the reasons my friend and I were without power for a long time. Additionally, my friend and I lacked electricity for using to cook or power the appliances. It was extremely difficult for our family at the time that my associate and I decided we wanted to purchase a generator. Now, my partner and I each have a generator that is roughly the same size and power level as our neighbors’ generator. The fact that my partner and I no longer have to worry about the electricity, heating, or cooling going out on us is probably a good thing, but purchasing this generator has definitely given me peace of mind regarding our appliances and our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system.
