I was so excited for this move.

It was the first time I was moving out of my parent’s house, so it was a big step for me. When I went to the city to look at apartments for the first time with my parents, I was blown away by so many beautiful places. I looked at countless places. The apartments in the city are much nicer than the apartments in my hometown. I had so many amazing places to choose from, and I had trouble choosing the right one at first. My favorite one was the apartment with a smart thermostat. I have never seen anything like this before in my hometown. This heating and cooling system connects to Wifi in the apartment. This allows me to connect to the thermostat from my phone. I am able to adjust the temperature from my phone. The best part about this system is that I can adjust the temperature from anywhere. I can change it while I’m at work or during my drive home from work. It seemed like the most convenient heating and cooling system. Ultimately, I chose this apartment solely because of the smart thermostat. It seemed silly at first, but this has been the best decision I have made during my move. It is an efficient system and prevents me from wasting energy. My monthly utility bills have been low because of it. I am so glad that I found this apartment!

This desert heat is so brutal that most do not survive without a central air conditioner or window air conditioner of some kind. Few homes had the luxury of a multi split air conditioner on hand. Times got even harder when the government ordered all families to hand over their central air conditioners, window air conditioners, and hot water boilers for the war effort. The military used the HVAC units for necessary metal. The government also had all the HVAC technicians move to a huge HVCA facility where they would work to take apart all the air conditioners and furnaces to be used elsewhere. The people, women and children mostly, were struggling to survive the brutal waves of heat and cool that came. My sister and I decided to use what our dad taught us about HVAC units to try and build one of our own. We had very little heating and cooling equipment to work with, so most of the air conditioner would have to be made by scratch. We did not even have an HVAC store to go and search for better heating and cooling equipment for sale. We didn’t have much, but we were able to build a crude air conditioning system that worked surprisingly well. In the winter we just resorted to building a big fire in the middle of our home. We had no idea how to make a hot water boiler or an electric furnace that would actually work well.

Hot water boilers are made out of a special kind of metal that they really needed. One by one those in our neighborhood began handing over their hot water boiler systems. While yes, most of the world is a desert, there are two months of winter we get every year that are way worse than the winter storms of the past. Hot water boilers and electric furnaces were what kept many people alive during those two months. Thankfully my home has a wood furnace as well as a hot water boiler furnace, so we were able to keep warm during the winter months without a wood furnace. Since we were only one of the few people who still had a working furnace, many people flocked to our home for warmth during the winter months. I learned how to fix my furnace on my own because all the HVAC technicians in the country were taken to a huge HVAC facility where they dismantled the central air conditioners, hot water boilers, and window air conditioners for the military. I became my own HVAC technician as well as for my neighbors who still had their heating and cooling units.

I decided we would hand over our central air conditioner, but hide our window air conditioner inside of a hidden chest in our basement. When the soldiers came by to get our a/c units, we gave them our central air conditioner. When they searched the house for another air conditioner, they did not find our hidden window air conditioner. Most of our neighbors had nowhere to hide their window air conditioners, so they had to turn over both their a/c units to the soldiers.

The village that I am living in is in dire need of a heating and cooling business.

When I first arrived at this village, there were no HVAC units at all, and many of the villagers would die due to the severe heat and cold.

I built a window air conditioner for every family in the village so that summers would be more tolerable for them. After finishing the window air conditioners, I trained two of the villagers to be HVAC technicians. While these two villagers did not go to HVAC collage, they only had window air conditioners and a few other heating and cooling units to work on so they didn’t need to learn much. After training them, we built a portable space heater for every home in the village. This made winters better and the survival rate greatly increased. Now that every home in the village had a window air conditioner, a portable space heater, and a small HEPA air purifier, we had really no work to do. One frequent problem we ran into was that the villagers needed some new parts for their a/c or furnace and they would have to walk miles just to ask us to get them the part. I decided to build a heating and cooling business in the village square so that everyone that needed parts could find them quickly at the store. I also would build a little ship in the heating and cooling business where villagers could bring their furnaces, a/c units, and air purifiers when they broke and I and the other two HVAC technicians could fix them.

I decided to build a type of HEPA air purifier, but a little simplified

Now that I have built window air conditioners and portable space heaters for every home in the village I am living in, I don’t know what I’m going to do. Me and the two other HVAC technicians I have trained take some time every week to fix someone’s window air conditioner or portable space heater that has broken, but we really don’t have that much work to do other than that. During winter , I finally found a new project. I noticed that many of the villagers struggled with spring allergies, and I had the solution. First, I would build some air filters that could be inserted into the window air conditioners so that there was at least some air filtration going on. I assigned the other two HVAC technicians to build the air filters while I worked on building the first air purification unit. I was used to building UV light air purifiers, but I knew that was not an option for the villagers. One thing that the villagers had were miniature solar panels. They were so;ar panels that the city did not want or thought were broken. I fixed them up and attached them to the villagers’ window air conditioners so that they didn’t have to use electricity. I decided I could use the solar panels for the air purifiers as well. I decided to build a type of HEPA air purifier, but a little simplified. These air filters would do a great job at filtering our pollen and other allergens. Soon enough every villager had a window air conditioner, portable space heater, and a miniature HEPA air purifier.
