For an ultimate solution, we would have to get the help of the HVAC professionals. They had our answer locked and loaded too. We now have a whole home air purification system inside our HVAC unit. It zaps the air coming from the HVAC return with UV light. That burns up the DNA of all the bacteria in the air causing the odors. Oh and it zaps all the other allergens and bad stuff in the air as well. The air in our home just couldn’t be better and we’re super thankful for that.

But this thing comes with all the HVAC technology from smart thermostat to zone controlled HVAC. This new residential HVAC also comes with a whole home air purification system. This is another reason I’m so excited for spring to get here. For the first time in my life, I won’t be bothered by pollen allergies inside my home. This air purifier simply destroys all allergens and indoor air contaminants. I can’t believe that I’m actually looking forward to the temperature rising.

We managed to locate contacts for a local HVAC business and saw online that they were offering same day service. True to their word, an HVAC expert came by on the same day to do an HVAC inspection. We wanted to be sure the heating system was fit to withstand months of winter and keep us comfortable. As I wrote earlier, mom finalized her divorce from my step dad and moved into a new house.

She found it fit to move on from the past, and also live closer to my brother and I.

We both have families and kids, so mom wanted to be close so she could see them often and lend a hand. But, she also didn’t want to be on top of us, and chose to live in a neighboring area. Having her close by has been the best feeling, and we are also sure that she is doing great. She’s joined some local clubs and even has new friends who she gets to travel with and have fun. Mom is also thinking about starting a small business at home making knit wear. She is a skilled knitter and I know her designs would be a hit, especially the throw blankets and mats. The other day she called to say she was having issues with the AC at home. Mom had tried to call the heating and AC business but no one was answering. My partner has some experience working with HVAC systems so she wanted to ask if he was available to help. He’d been home not feeling too well, but he didn’t hesitate to jump in the car and go and help mom with her AC. My partner and I always rely on her to watch the kids when we have things to do or are at work, so this wasn’t a big deal at all. He happened to carry an extra air filter just in case this was what was causing the issue. It turns out he was right and the AC needed an air filter replacement. My partner did that and stayed on to enjoy tea and snacks with my mom.

I think that they just tend to care more about you as a person and as a client. The HVAC company that we are using for our home and our business right now is really great. I know for a fact that they care about us as people and not just as customers. One of the HVAC technicians who works there also goes to church with me and my family and so we see him every week. Whenever we have issues with our furnace or our central air conditioning system, he is always the one who comes over to fix it for us. He says that he likes helping out the people that he does life with on a regular basis. I think that that’s true. I think that communities should have small businesses that support each other and that the customers in the community should deal with them whenever they can. It just makes sense to keep your money in the community. I feel like that’s especially true when it comes to your HVAC maintenance company. Your indoor air quality is always really important and so you shouldn’t trust it to just anyone!

This was mandatory in order to maintain the HVAC warranty. There were a couple of times when I almost missed it, I have to admit. When you are busy living your life and working and doing all of the things all the time, you tend to forget things like your heating and cooling and maintenance. Once last year, I really almost blew it and voided my warranty because of my own procrastination. I am supposed to get the heating and cooling system maintained by a professional HVAC company twice a year. I’m supposed to have it done once by June the 1st and I’m supposed to have it done another time by December the first. Well, last year, I totally spaced out about the whole thing. On November 30th, I realized that the next day was the last day to get my furnace tuned up! I nearly panicked. I called every HVAC company in our area to find someone who would be available that very day to come and get the paper signed and the furnace looked at so I could keep my warranty. That was a very stressful day, that’s for sure! I won’t make that mistake again.
