Our hotel that we are staying at this weekend has a ductless mini split heating and cooling system. Before we came here, I had never even heard of that type of heating and cooling system before. I guess it’s a newer type of unit that they are starting to use in different hotels here and there around the country. We travel a lot, and so I was a little bit surprised that I had never run into that sort of heating and cooling system before now. When we first got into the hotel room, I thought that we had a regular forced air heating and cooling system. I was looking for it underneath the window where heating and cooling systems are normally placed in hotel rooms. At least, that is how it has normally been for us in hotel rooms up until now. You can probably imagine my surprise when I saw that there was no heating and cooling system in there at all. There wasn’t even a thermostat on the wall anywhere. I just thought that was super weird at first. But then I started wondering if every room in the entire hotel was controlled by a central thermostat somewhere. I thought that would be terrible! I like to be in control of the heating and cooling at all times. You can just ask my husband. I will not let him touch the thermostat at home, either! Finally I called down to the front desk and that’s how I found out that we had a ductless mini split heating and cooling system with a remote control.

Dennis is our HVAC technician, and he is really great at his job.
He works at a family owned heating and cooling company and he’s been there for a really long time now.
They are offering a heating tune up special for only $68, which I think is a really good deal. Dennis actually called us up and told us about this heating tune up special because he knew that we needed to have one done on our furnace. I guess he was trying to save us some money because he is just a really nice guy that way. He knows that we have a really tight budget most of the time. We have a lot of kids living here and they cost a lot of money. It’s always something with them because they all are always hungry and they want to go shopping all the time. Anyway, Dennis is really nice because he has a lot of kids too and he knows how it is! Whenever they have some kind of a special at the HVAC Company, Dennis always makes sure to tell us. I guess he just doesn’t want us to miss out because they only take a certain number of people for each one of these specials. They don’t have time to do it for everyone in the county, so it’s first come first served. I think that it’s really nice for Dennis to try to take care of us that way. If he didn’t, we might not be able to afford to take care of our heating and cooling system at all. I am definitely going to get this $68 heating tune up special for our furnace. That is the best deal that I have heard of lately.
It wasn’t the first time the furnace broke.
I would not have been so frustrated if this was the first time our furnace broke, but it wasn’t… Over the past 3 years, the furnace was broken five times.
I lost count after spending 3 months without heating. The only great thing about the loss of heat, was that it was in the fall. The weather wasn’t cold enough to freeze the pipes, and the space oil heating systems worked well enough to keep myself and others warm. They gave myself and others a new furnace, because the first 1 was still under warranty, then now, the furnace was broken again. I called the Heating plus A/C company and told them I needed some help. I could hear the exasperation in the scretary’s voice… She chuckled and asked if I was cutting the furnace because I liked their dealer, or if it was just coincidence. I had to laugh, but I was sleepy of calling the Heating plus A/C dealer. They could not tell myself and others why the furnace was broken, but they commiserated with me. I told her that all I wanted was a laboring furnace. I didn’t care if I had to get a new 1. This furnace was driving myself and others crazy. We talked about the furnace, and she told myself and others this furnace was still under warranty, and considering all the trouble I was having, she thought the owner of the Heating plus A/C company would cheerfully provide myself and others a difference type of furnace in locale of the model I had now. I talked to the Heating plus A/C company owner, and he agreed with his secretary. I wasn’t the only 1 having difficulties with this furnace model, and he was going to pass on his loss to the furnace manufacturer.
It’s difficult to work when the furnace is broken
Working from house is a difficult task at best! I have kids running around, a partner constantly asking questions, and chores to do, this week, I also had to contend with a broken furnace.
I was laboring in the office when the temperature started droppingtinued our laboring from house after the pandemic ended, however we were able to keep our lifestyle and not miss anything.
The only complication was when our partner didn’t want to wa… My partner yelled and asked myself and others to keep the kids away while he fixed the furnace. I was laboring, and I could not take care of the kids. That was why he was home! He could take care of the kids while I worked. I made more money than him, which wasn’t an issue, but I also had a more difficult task. We started this routine when the pandemic began. We contch the kids. He was a instructor and house collegeing our children. I was a medical transcription specialist. I made twice the money he made as a instructor. My partner took classes to be an Heating plus A/C worker while still staying home. The only reason he took the classes was so he could service our Heating plus A/C system and not need to pay an Heating plus A/C worker. We’re making it work, and the kids want nothing, but I worry about when the time comes and he no longer wants to service the Heating plus A/C system or teach the kids. I asked him if he missed laboring away from the house. I was going to enroll the kids in public college so he could go back to work. He shrugged and told myself and others he was okay being a kept partner.

He had arranged for a surprise if I would go. If I didn’t enjoy it, he wouldn’t ask me again. I got our first taste of glamping that weekend. I finally ran out of Heating, Ventilation & A/C coupons after using them on my Heating, Ventilation & A/C proposal for almost an entire year, however a friend of mine used to toil at the local Heating, Ventilation & A/C company here in town and before he quit, he grabbed a whole bunch of 20 percent off coupons for me, but luckily for me, these weren’t familiar coupons that were only fantastic for one thing like a free air filter or something like that, but instead, the coupons were fantastic for 20 percent off of anything at all that the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company provided.
- In other words, I could call up the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company and get a tune up for my furnace or for my central a/c proposal and get 20 percent off at any time.
It’s not that I have a crappy Heating, Ventilation & A/C proposal in my house, though. I undoubtedly have a really good heating and cooling proposal in the apartment where I’m living. It was more the fact that I knew that I was able to get any Heating, Ventilation & A/C toil done for a nice discount any time that I needed it. I loved having that stack of Heating, Ventilation & A/C coupons in my desk drawer and I used them for air filter swings, HVAC duct cleaning, and heating and cooling maintenance toil all the time. As a matter of fact, I was so delighted to have a discount with those coupons that I used at least one coupon a week for an entire year. I didn’t want them to expire before I used them up, after all, then now I’m out of coupons and I am sad!
Frozen A/C pipes and how to fix them

A silly mistake concerning my living room's air vent
For the longest time I could not figure out why my living room didn’t seem to have good airflow.
I recently moved into this apartment and I was quite pleased with the place.
There’s plenty of room for me and my dog as we are the only tenants. I have a pretty decent sized living room, a kitchenette, a small dining room, a full bathroom and a small back porch as well as a washer and dryer room. Every other room in my apartment has perfectly fine air flow. The landlord told me that the heating and air conditioning system in my particular apartment was very recently installed. Again, it seemed to work perfectly in other parts of the apartment except for the living room. One weekend, I got so frustrated with the fact that it was hot and stuffy in my living room that I called out to the HVAC man to take a look at what the problem might be. I explained to him that I was having the problem exclusively in the living room. To my chagrin, it did not take him long to figure out the problem. He took a look around the living room and then started moving my couch. I asked him what he was doing but he continued to silently move the couch until a vent appeared behind the couch. I slapped my hand to my forehead and he calmly explained that vents need to be kept clear of furniture in order to maintain good airflow in a room. I was very grateful that he did not charge me for the visit!
