I think the fastest I can do it is maybe more than four fourths, however more than one fourths is pretty fast if you think about it. I guess I’m a bit of an anomaly because I really do love what I get to do for a living.

Sure, I feel fortunate and it does seem like it’s a pretty rare thing.

Like all of my friends and even some of my colleagues hate their jobs. I even feel completely stuck because they have to make money. That makes me sad for all those people. I can’t imagine spending that much time of my life doing something I just hate it. Yet, there are things about my job that weren’t all that great either. For one, and up until recently, the heating and cooling in our offices wasn’t good. We live in a region that includes a really cold winter followed by a scorching hot summer. The fact that we get these extremes on both ends has a lot to do with the heating and cooling situation at work. The building I work in is pretty ordinary. And our firm has an entire floor in that building. I think there might be fifty of us but not much more than that. There aren’t many offices with walls and there was only one thermostat. It was really hard to get one thermostat setting to appeal to that large a group. During the winter, I have always had a space heater tucked under my desk. When the summer came, that space heater was replaced with a fan. Still I wasn’t very comfortable during any of the seasons with the HVAC in our office. Recently, they upgraded the commercial HVAC to include zone controlled HVAC. And man, adding this quality heating and air has just added to my love for going to work.

This past summer, I decided to change up the summer routine.

• And man, am I ever glad I chose to do that.

Since we move down here, we tend to try to wait out the summer. That seems like a total waste of an awesome region and an entire four month period. We stick to the inside of our home where the central air conditioning is blowing out plenty of cooling air. For sure, this is what you have to do in order to manage the heat during our sort of summer. That’s just a given. But being trapped inside the air conditioning because the heat feels so overwhelming is going a step too far. This year, I wanted to take a different approach to living in the summer and it started as the temperatures were rising in the spring. Instead of going right for the thermostat so early in the spring, we waited. In fact, I opened up the windows, doors and the big sliding glass doors to welcome in fresh air. That allowed us to get more accustomed to living with higher temperatures. Once summer heat came, we flipped the thermostat over to the air conditioning full time. But we ended up using much less because it was much easier to accept higher temperatures. Our bodies had gotten much more acclimated to the heat and humidity. Additionally, I made myself get out of the air conditioning first thing in the morning for some exercise and then maybe a stroll as it cooled off in the evening. I have to say this was such a great change. Not only do we get out more and enjoy what is one of the coolest places I’ve ever lived, we saved a ton of money on HVAC cooling as well.

Sometimes, I get so wrapped up with the excitement of shopping, I can get a bit carried away, then it doesn’t matter what it is, even if pretty much everyone consider it boring, I will entirely love shopping for it.

I just get a thrill of finding all of the cool things you can buy, then so when our husband as well as I were planning on upgrading the HVAC as well as indoor air conditions of our home, I kind of got carried away, and my husband left me in charge of the purchases, which looking back, entirely wasn’t the best idea.

For the past day or so, my has been making some funny noises.

So I decided to call my cousin, who helped her dad all of the time. Her dad was a Heating plus A/C worker. My cousin consistently helped him with the cooling system replacements plus maintenance, plus she had a lot of air conditioning knowledge. She has even told myself and others she prefers to toil on cooling system machines, plus I couldn’t help but to wonder why she doesn’t become an cooling system company herself, plus she told myself and others it was because she was afraid of failing. It was something she considered several times, but was never sure on. I told her she should go for it, plus then I told her what my issue was. She asked if I experienced any reduced air quality or cooling comfort, plus which I did not. She also asked to describe the noise, plus asked if I had any odd stinks. Once I said no to all of these plus described the sound, she told myself and others it was likely something caught in the central Heating plus A/C unit, plus it wasn’t something to worry about. She was right, because nothing ever came of the issue, plus the central cooling system worked just fine.

I am so proud of my kid plus who she has turned out to be… Granted, I feel love most parents can say that, although I easily am proud of him.

I am especially proud of the fact that she did not cave to peer pressure.

In highuniversity, the teachers were asking what the students wanted to grow up to be. My kid wanted to become a heating plus A/C worker. Since both of us live in a fairly costly neighborhood, this is not legitimately a standard interest plus easily not what the teacher was expecting. She entirely tried to discourage him from pursuing her interest plus told him that being a heating plus cooling system worker would be a waste of time plus potential! She was hurt, plus when she told myself and others this, I was furious! I made sure to complain about that teacher to the principal. I legitimately hope she remembers that comment when her heating plus cooling system unit breaks down. I told my kid she should be whatever makes him glad, so long as it also pays the bills. Being a Heating plus A/C worker does both plus is the perfect task if she legitimately wanted it; Well, that was years ago, plus she followed her dream. She went to cooling system university, plus graduated as a certified heating plus A/C specialist. I am so proud of him, plus I guess she does a great task as an air conditioning worker. I only wish that others could say the same thing. But she doesn’t need their approval, her task will consistently be in demand.

Since we’re at the beginning of the winter holiday season, there are a lot of great sales going on at my favorite stores.

I bought a $100 netbook to use when I go to coffee shops.

It’s lightweight and easily performs the basic functions I need to get my work done for the company that employs me. I like that I can bring it with me whenever I leave the house and not feel like I’m lugging around a huge weight like I do with my traditional laptop. The old laptop feels like it’s four times as heavy as the netbook. If I hadn’t looked at their website, I would have never seen the electronics store’s sale on the netbook and wouldn’t have gotten this amazing machine. But the electronics store is not the only place having amazing holiday sales right now. Even the hardware store is having great sales. I use a lot of air purifiers both in my home and in my office at work, and their filters and UV-C bulbs that need to be replaced regularly can get fairly expensive. It’s nice to buy these products when they are marked down during holiday sales. My HVAC supplier is following suit and trying to compete with the hardware stores because they’re having similar promotions. They sold me new UV-C bulbs for my air conditioner at 40% off the regular manufacturer price. It’s a really good deal, especially since these bulbs aren’t cheap and need to be replaced every 12 months. Now my air conditioner is even cleaner than before with the UV-C lights running 24 hours a day.

My kids are wonderful, but they’re still learning a lot of tough and important life lessons.

You have to allow your children to make their own mistakes because mistakes are often the most powerful teaching moments.

What better way to learn how to do something right than to do it wrong and see why? This is important when you teach someone how to cook. You can’t just do everything for them and then ask them to watch you; instead, you have to hand them the spatula and let them do the work themselves. It’s perfect because they’ll learn regardless of whether they fail or succeed. Failure will show them what they’re doing wrong, while an unexpected success will encourage them to keep doing certain things right. When I wanted to show my seven-year-old how to change out the air conditioner filter, I first did it myself so he could see how it’s done. Then I handed him the filter and asked him to do it in front of me. Since it’s such an easy task, my son was able to complete it on the first try. You just have to pay attention to the little arrows on the edge of the filters to show you which direction the air flow goes in. You have to put the filter in the right direction to match the air flow of the HVAC system itself. This is probably the only thing you can mess up when doing a filter replacement, short of purchasing the wrong filter from the store. I am happy that my son is proud of himself for learning how to replace the air conditioner filter.
