Babysitters can be a lifesaver! I used to babysit a lot, so I absolutely care about people who are willing to put up with someone else’s kids for a long time.

I know they deserve plenty of compensation, that’s for sure! However, when I was a babysitter, I constantly abided by the rules of the household in which I was babysitting.

If the couple whose kid or kids I was seeing specified that they did not want their control unit touched, I did not touch the control unit. That’s why I am a little irked that now that I have our own 2 kids and I need a babysitter to rely on every now and then for date night with our hubby or other such engagements, I have a babysitter who does not seem to have the same decorum that I used to have! Both our hubby and I insisted to the babysitter that the control unit should remain at 75° at all times. I know that’s a pretty passable temperature, even when it’s rather sizzling outside. The babysitter seemed to disregard our wishes, though. It turns out he was setting the control unit all the way down to 80°! All of us started to suspect that he was messing with the control unit when the people I was with and I came home one night to find that it was a lot chillier in our home than it should have been. I went to check the control unit, and it learn lower than It should have, despite the fact that the set temperature still said 75°. That was curious, because it was boiling and humid that night, and there was no real reason for the ambient temperature to be lower than 75°. All of us are absolutely going to confront the babysitter about this!

My partner is a clean freak.

I would adore to get out of the home and work in other areas, however they never seem to have the temperature or the ambience just right for myself and others to be able to focus! Coffee shops are constantly too noisy and crowded, then they’re also either too freezing or too warm. The one locale that I found to be a fine alternative to home when it comes to writing is the Barnes and Noble. The temperature and humidity level is almost as fine as at home, and it is sufficiently quiet however not too quiet, because I don’t adore complete silence. I don’t know I could ever get used to working in an office where I have no control of how the environment feels. I would be far less productive, that’s for sure! I very don’t take it for granted that I am able to work anywhere I want. As long as I am in control of the control unit or I have the ability to choose where to write, I will have peak creativity and productivity!

I had a real shocker when I came into work this afternoon, and it’s late October, and a freezing snap brought un-even temperatures in the high 30s this afternoon. I was very grateful for the furnace in our automobile as I was driving to work on our commute. It felt so fine that I did not want to leave our automobile once I reached the parking garage, but as I got out of our car, I took solace in the fact that at least it would be a short walk to our office where I was sure that the furnace was running. I walked through the front lobby doors at our office building, and I was met with a chill instead of a welcome wave of warmth. I figured they weren’t running the furnace in the lobby for some reason! Maybe the door was being opened too often. I did not know about it much, because I was sure that at least in our office, it would be warm. All through the walk to our office, and even in the elevator ride, I noticed that there was a chill in the air, and when I stepped out onto our floor, I could hardly know it. It was absolutely colder on our floor than it had been throughout the rest of the building. What on earth were the people in charge of the Heating and Air Conditioning plan thinking? Virtually everyone else was just as surprised and miserable as I was, and how could the people I was with and I be expected to work in these conditions? Then the people I was with and I found out that someone absolutely left the cooling system on! The cooling system was running as if it was boiling outside! Granted, it had been the previous afternoon, however someone has to keep up with the shifting weather in our fall season!

I never entirely thought about just how various fans I have throughout our entire house.

I assume I entirely do prefer fans!
