Getting certain things in the area I live can be tough.

And this was the case when I wanted to buy a certain brand portable air conditioning system.

The store did not stock this brand of portable air conditioning systems however they were available to be ordered. So I had the store order me the portable air conditioning system I wanted. I paid a little extra for the special order, but it is ok, because I have heard that this particular brand of portable air conditioning system was the best around. It finally came in and I am going to pick it up tomorrow at noon on my lunch break from work. That is the only time I can get to the store before the weekend. And with the hot weather that is coming, I want to have my portable air conditioning system ready to use because I want to save money on my monthly energy bills. I plan to run the portable air conditioning system half of the time and then the other half of the time run my central air conditioning as per normal. By doing this method it will highly cut down on energy use and make it so that my bills will be lower moving forward. And with this high quality portable air conditioning system that I bought on special order, it will be even more powerful and work really well. I am highly looking forward to turning on my new portable air conditioning system tomorrow when I get home from work!

I have radiant heated floors in my home and they are pretty great.

I am very happy with them.

However, when there was an issue recently and I had to call the local heating and air conditioning company to send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to repair the radiant heated floors, this was where it became a hassle. It turns out that if you have radiant heated floors and need them repaired, you are going to be paying a lot more than you would for standard heating and air conditioning system repair. This was something I was not expecting. I got my radiant heated floors fixed, but the cost gave a big hit to my bank account. I wasn’t sure if it was just the local heating and air conditioning company overcharging at first. So I took to the internet and did some research to see. And as it turns out, they charged exactly what they should of. The repair and maintaining of radiant heated floors is where the catch is with having these things in your home. Do not get me wrong, I don’t regret having radiant heated floors because they have saved me money on energy use really well, plus they really heat my home good. But I just wasn’t expecting to pay this much for radiant heated floor repair if they ever had an issue and stopped working. In the future I will be ready for this and at least know the price if my radiant heated floors ever break again.

Every time I need to take a plane somewhere in the country I always like to fly at night.

The reason for this is because there are less people on the flight which means that the central air conditioning and heating system in there will have much better air flow.

Also the air quality is much better too. When there are less people it makes for better air quality on a plane for some reason. It sort of makes sense to me in a way. But I got real tired of having to deal with bad heating and air conditioning on a plane and having wall to wall people all crammed in like a tug boat. It was really not making me want to fly. It was when a friend told me about flying at night being so much better that I gave it a try and those were my findings. I will never fly in the daytime again and have to deal with bad air quality and bad heating and air conditioning. Especially if I am on a long flight somewhere I want to be able to have quality heating and air conditioning. If it is winter it can get pretty cold in a plane, and if summer it can get pretty hot. And having quality heating or air conditioning is an important thing. This helps fight it off and everything. I look forward to flying at night also because I can actually get some good rest not being crammed together with people.

My son was at the age where he was deciding what he wanted to do for a living.

It started in middle school, when all of the teachers would start asking what kids wanted to do with their lives.

By the time the kids are in high school, they should have a rough idea of what they might want to do. My son still remained confused for a while though. Then he finally mentioned to me that he might be interested in becoming a heating and air conditioning technician. I thought this was a great idea! HVAC professionals are almost always in high demand, and the pay isn’t bad either. He would have his pick of jobs with the way the demand is for HVAC techs right now. It was just perfect timing too, because the HVAC university, in an attempt to get interested students to come and learn, was having a special where interested students could come and learn from an actual HVAC worker for a few days. The heating and air conditioning worker would talk about the HVAC job and what you do on a daily basis, as well as show a demonstration on basic heating and A/C repair. This sounded like a great opportunity for my son, and I planned on dropping him off tomorrow so he could find out what it is like to be a heating and cooling professional, and see if it is right for him. Hopefully he will like the idea of being a certified A/C worker, and then he can go to school right next to our home!

New contractor

I feel so bad, because I accidentally forgot about a heating and air conditioning appointment that I had scheduled today. About a week or so back, my air conditioner started making weird noises, and wasn’t cooling as efficiently as it used to, and since I didn’t want to risk the A/C unit breaking down, I decided to schedule an appointment on a day that I had nothing going on. Anyways, time passed and I completely forgot about the appointment, so when Friday came and my friends asked me to come and hang out with them, I thought it would be a great idea since I had nothing else planned for the entire day. Well, that is except for the HVAC appointment. I was having a good time with my friends in a hot tub with drinks, when I got a text from the HVAC specialist telling me that he arrived at my home. It was then that I remembered the A/C appointment. I had to rush back home, and the A/C specialist, being a saint, waited for me. Most heating and A/C workers would have left, but this guy was nice enough to stay, even though I am sure I accidentally put him behind schedule. I apologized close to 100 times, and thankfully the HVAC worker didn’t seem unhappy, but I still couldn’t help but to feel bad. I even gave him a tip as a final apology, which seemed to make him happier. I think after this entire event, I will have to start writing things down, my memory is not as good as it used to be.

I really like the new local heating and air conditioning place I went to. For the longest time I went with the same heating and A/C business. Now there was nothing spectacular about this local HVAC business, but I just kept choosing them over and over again because I was familiar with them. However, I wanted to see if there were any other places that could offer me better deals. I found another HVAC corporation a few miles away, and so I decided to go with them. The heating and cooling specialist arrived and performed the HVAC maintenance normally, nothing usual happened, and they were a little cheaper which was nice. But I figured that they were just ordinary as well. However, they did do one thing differently, and that is what keeps me coming back to their HVAC company. They asked if I wanted to join their HVAC program and since I didn’t feel like I had anything to lose I agreed. With their HVAC program, it gives me texts or emails, whichever I prefer, about their newest HVAC technology and sales they are having, which is nice. But my favorite part is that they also text you reminders too. The reminders about when your next appointment is, and this is incredibly useful for me. My bad memory ensures that I almost never remember to get my HVAC tune up appointments correctly. I almost always wait too late, but not anymore with these reminders. They always make sure to text twice a year for spring and fall HVAC maintenance, and I really appreciate it.

My home was having some repairs done to it, and I was so glad to get those done and over with. However, while the repairs were happening, I needed a place to stay, and my friend offered for me to stay at her place. I happily accepted and came the next morning. It was pretty early in the morning, and quite cold. When I walked into her home, I noticed it was a little bit chilly as well. My friend also noticed this, and immediately turned on the heater. I expected that eventually the home would warm up, but it would take several hours, like my own heating device. However, within 20 minutes or so, her home was feeling fantastic! It was feeling incredibly warm and toasty, and I couldn’t help but to be slightly envious of how fast and efficient her furnace system was. I asked her about it, and her model was actually older than mine! It then made me wonder what was wrong with my furnace unit. When I eventually arrived back at my own home, although I planned to be done with the repairs, I couldn’t help but to wonder about my own central HVAC, so I decided to call a professional HVAC technician out. I feared that I would have to replace my heater, but thankfully, it was just holes in the ductwork, which is why it took so long for my home to warm up. After the holes were patched up, everything went back to normal.
