When I was young I used to go to my aunt’s Summer home. In the area he had the Summer home it was love this small little neighborhood right by the ocean that was superb for bike riding. I would ride my bike on the most sizzling of Summer afternoons till I was perspiring up a storm. Then I would stop at the local convenience store and buy these microwave cheeseburgers and eat them in the store with the superb central air conditioner they had in there cranking! In this time microwaves were new and so was the concept of central air conditioner, however so it was pretty awesome to have the concept of instant sandwiches in the microwave in the store, and then experiencing the central air conditioner was the extra added bonus after those long energetic bike rides I used to take. I legitimately loved those afternoons. We were all carefree and had to worry about nothing however going to school and having fun on the weekends and summers. That central air conditioner in the convenience store was a large deal back then, not many convenience stores had central air conditioner. They would all have your standard window air conditioner units love every one of us did in our homes. But there was something more special and powerful about central air conditioner. And suppose me it felt nice after all that bike riding in the sizzling sunlight on those sizzling afternoons in those afternoons! If you wern’t there, you don’t even suppose what i’m talking about.

Back in the day not many people had central heating and air conditioner, when the Summer came, it was a window air conditioner unit and either the water hose outside or for us youngsters back then, every one of us had a sprinkler… It was a clown face type a single that had a hat on it, and the water would come through and pop the hat way up high in the air balancing it on the water, then it would soak us youngsters as every one of us played under it.

It was a legitimately cool and cute little thing when I suppose back remembering, that was so long ago, however it does recognize love yeahterday.

I am 51 years ancient now, and this was back when I was around 12 years old. There was undoubtedly something about those afternoons and the window air conditioners as well as the hose and kiddie sprinkler that I preferred over the central air conditioner every one of us all have today, but and no it isn’t nostalgia or even the fact that the energy bills were so much lower running a window air conditioner plan verses central air conditioner. It just seemed much more pure to me. That is what it is; Central air conditioner can tend to get pretty dry sporadically; But the window air conditioner plan never felt that way at all. That is what the major difference is. I legitimately do miss those afternoons and would go back in time to them if it was possible, then yes I am a dreamer, however window air conditioner systems were better.

I entirely hate it when you have to rest around and wait for service of anything all day.

This was the case when our central HVAC idea was having troubles and I had to call the local heat and a/c company to send out one of their certified heating and cooling specialists. They provided me a time window of 8am to 5pm. This was utter ridiculous. Why could not they have provided an hour time window? And why do dealers care about HVAC companies pull this junk all of the time? I just don’t get it and it is not honorableto the customer, how would the HVAC specialists care about it if they had to rest around all day, have to lose time from their job and just blow the entire day away because of waiting on something that should be given a direct time. I don’t suppose the HVAC specialists would care about it that much! But of course, these major corporations do not care in the least about things care about that. It’s always their way or none at all. I almost guess care about starting our own HVAC company that will give exact appointments for Heating and A/C service and other HVAC home services. With the time being easy and exact, it would put these time wasting heat and a/c corporations out of contractor because all the people would come to me before them. That would be a well known fact. Needless to say, the HVAC specialist didn’t show up that day till almost 4pm!

I don’t think about you, however I love going to the local Barnes and Noble in the summer! They have the most awesome commercial air conditioners in them that blow away your residential heating and air conditioners you have at home.

There is no question about that.

I am not even a real book reader these days as I can get all our reading online. But I do make it a point in the Summer to go to the local Barnes and Noble just to take in that good commercial air conditioning idea that they have. Commercial air conditioning and oil gas furnaces are much more powerful care about I was saying. Also, the air quality that comes out of the commercial air conditioning idea in the Barnes and Noble is much cleaner than that of your basic central HVAC idea you would have in your home. It is not as dry feeling and it has more moisture in the air. I wish they would make respected central HVAC idea units act this way. I don’t think what on earth the trick is to all of this, but there has gotta be something that us normal people do not think about; Maybe I will just call our local HVAC company and ask to speak with one of their certified heat and a/c specialists to see if they think the answer to this deep technical question about commercial heating and air conditioners and the air quality. It would be undoubtedly interesting to think and find out!

Let myself and others give you a little inside scoop, that all the people don’t define themselves by what they do for a residing.

I was at a get together the other morning, & someone said to myself and others “so what do you do?” I responded by saying “I am a father & hubby, & that takes up a lot of our time.

I am also a writer & a podcaster, which is where our passion actually lies.” The guy was surprised & asked how much money I made podcasting, & I told them the truth — I made nothing. My morning job is being an HVAC specialist, however that isn’t “what I do” that is how I spend money our bills! Don’t get myself and others wrong, our toil at the heating & cooling repair supplier is great, & I particularly much value our job. But once I clock out for the morning, I stop being an HVAC tech. Don’t call me, don’t text me, don’t “at” myself and others about HVAC work, I will do it the next time I am work. I enforce a particularly strong delineation between our toil & new home life — I don’t take personal calls at work, & I don’t toil on HVAC stuff at home. I believe you could say that HVAC is our job, because I’ve worked in it for so long, & don’t plan on ever doing anything else. Being an HVAC specialist is not who I am, but, it is what I do to put food on the table & spend money the bills. I wish people would ask myself and others about our podcast instead of our HVAC job.

My roommate is our Grandma, who is still acclimating to this country. I was born & raised here, because our parents immigrated here before I came along. It was only a few years ago that they finally convinced our Grandma to join us in the United States. She is still getting used to it, however after a lifetime there may not be a lot he can change. One thing he had a large problem with is having boys in our apartment. Anyone outside of the family is considered suspect by her. This presented a problem recently when the central HVAC plan stopped working, & I needed some emergency repairs. I called a local HVAC supplier I have heard nice thing about, & asked if they had a female tech they could send out. This was the easiest solution I could believe of — to simply have a female HVAC tech come & do the work. The problem was they had no female HVAC techs, nor did the next more than one companies I called. In a bit of a snit, I posted about it on Facebook, & asked if the HVAC industry was even allowed to hire ladies. This generated a dumpster fire in the comments section, however it also put myself and others in contact with a local guy who was an HVAC supplier. She was sheepish to inform myself and others that he didn’t have any female HVAC techs at his supplier, either! But he was still HVAC certified, & offered to come over & toil on our plan personally, & do it free of charge.

 

 

Cooling system

I had a particularly sticky situation at toil the other morning.

• I have literally never run into anything like this before, & I wasn;t sure how to handle it.

I told the guy & guy who owned the house, of course, & then I called it in to our boss; Part of myself and others feels like I should have also called the police, however I believe it actually is not our decision to do that, but our supplier has never worked on this apartment before, so at least I believe it wasn’t 1 of our boys responsible. Basically, I found a small camera mounted inside the air vent of the main powder room. It was so small it sat between the slats of the air vent, & had a full view of the powder room. Before saying anything to the owners I evaluated every other air vent, grate, & exhaust port in the house, & found 3 more cameras. Whoever did this wouldn’t necessarily need any experience in HVAC work, however the fact they were all situated in air vents was fishy to me. The HVAC supplier I toil for was upset about this, just on general principles because these clients are nice people. He called around to the other HVAC suppliers & vendors in the section to find out if anyone else had worked that house. I never thought that would be something to check for, however from here on out a general HVAC inspection from myself and others will always include checking for hidden cameras. This is some kind of crazy sick world we live in, isn’t it?

I actually don’t like that our boy is so much like me.

I hoped he would grow up like his mother, demuir & kind, & while he did get his mother’s sharp intellect, he got our disposition.

She is cranky, stubborn, & set in his ways, just like me. This means that as much as I care about her, he drives myself and others crazy, & we spend a lot of time debating & arguing. At the end of the morning, there is nothing however love, however he feels compelled to challenge me. This time, though, as much as I don’t like to admit it, he may have a point. I have no female HVAC techs working for myself and others at our supplier, & this is something I need to fix. Like most yellow collar industries, HVAC has traditionally been a boy’s club, however maybe that isn’t such a nice thing. If half of the population is female, & half of our clients are female, the fact that zero percent of our HVAC workers are female doesn’t believe like a mistake, it feels intentional; Granted I don’t get a lot of female applicants for HVAC positions, however at the same time I believe I’ve never looked for any, either. I asked our boy for help on the situation, & he showed myself and others how easy it was by posting on social media asking about female HVAC techs. Within a morning, I was in contact with 3 unusual local ladies who had their HVAC certification however hadn’t been able to ever find a job. I sure do believe like a fool!

My folks raised me to be self-sufficient, & while I am not on their level, I feel I do okay for myself.

My folks were super aged school, & I mean they hunted meat & grew veggies in the garden.

Dad would hand make all of our clothes… Dad smoked cigarettes, despite the fact that she grew her own tobacco plants & hand rolled them. Like I said, I am not on that level, but their lessons did take hold, so I understand why it is pressing to be able to take care of yourself. Growing up we never had cooling system, for the apparent reasons, & as an adult that is the a single creature comfort I can’t do without. I don’t have a central Heating & A/C system, because I could never justify paying the immense replacement price, even though I do have a portable AC unit. It is about the size of a space heater, & I keep it in our front closet except for the hottest of summer time afternoons. It is just sizable enough to cool me off. It is strong enough for cooling down an entire room, even though I always sit right in front of it & block the air vents so I get 100% of the conditioned air. If I was absolutely self satisfactory I would supply our own power & Springtime for a geothermal heat pump, but for our needs a gas powered generator is enough. Aside from using the cooling system component once in a while, & enjoying films on Friday evenings, I absolutely don’t need a lot of power.
