I am what is known as a part time or seasonal independent heating and air conditioner tech.

I have my authorized certification as a heating and a/c specialist, but I chose to not take it on as a career and ended up doing something different.

However, what I did choose to do was to work part time as a seasonal independent heating and air conditioner specialist at a small local heating and cooling corporation during the Summer time months of the year only since I absolutely work as a lecturer the rest of the time for my primary career. My good friend Ed and I have off in the Summer the same as the kids do, so this would be a perfect time to make some better and extra cash while I am not working for those 3 to 4 months each year. I do absolutely make pretty good cash and have consistent clients for my heating and cooling system maintenance service while in the Summer time months that I do work as an independent heating and air conditioner specialist… Lots of heating and a/c breakdowns and the other heating and air conditioner companies can get so busy that folks need emergency heating and air conditioner condo services that they can not provide. So instead they call me and Ed to give them the emergency heating and air conditioner condo services that they require when their central heating and cooling system component breaks down in the middle of a brutal heat wave while in the super tepid Summer time months of the year!

I am pretty good at making deals with all kinds of stuff.

• And what I did recently to get a brand new central heating and cooling system was a little different.

I went to a local heating and air conditioner dealer and located a central heating and cooling system component that I wanted to buy. The price was a little bit high I thought, so I haggled with the sales manager in order to try to get it for a price that I thought it should be. It must have taken me almost a half an hour going around and around with the sales rep. However, in the end the deal for the brand new and most new central heating and cooling system component worked out nicely. I got the price that I wanted by using my skills in wheeling and dealing. And I even got a slight discount on the heating and air conditioner upgrade and the moving costs as well. It was something I was not expecting to be totally honorable with you all. I did not expect to get the discount on the heating and cooling system upgrade in addition to moving the component as well! All in all I made out pretty good on going out to buy a brand new, new, quite powerful and originally absolutely fancy central heating and cooling system component until I wheeled and haggled to get the prices down to nearly half off what the original price that they were charging was!

Commercial air conditioning

I think that I need to change the heating and air conditioner providers that I use.

The aged heating and air conditioner pro that I had been using changed management and they are raising the prices way too much for my budget, and so i am going to be looking for either an independent heating and air conditioner repair pro or a local heating and air conditioner corporation that will charge the normal prices that should be charged with heating and air conditioner condo services! It is not nice that they decided to raise the price like they did after numerous clients had been with them for many years under the aged management.

Anything to make a buck right? If they do not wake up and begin charging what other heating and air conditioner condo services pros charge they are going to end up going out of corporation because everyone like me will be looking for a heating and air conditioner pro that is not overcharging their clients for heat and a/c repair, heating and air conditioner upgrades and even heating and air conditioner tune ups in addition to heating and air conditioner checks. It is a real shame what is happening. It just goes to show that one exhausting apple can ruin the bunch as the saying and proverb goes. I assume I may have found a few heating and air conditioner companies to check out and I will be contacting them.

Find local HVAC

This is something that I tell them all up front.

I am a piano player who plays in many piano clubs and bars. I more or less am a freelance musician and go wherever I am hired to and whatever pays the best. But the 1 thing that is a must for me is that whatever club or bar I play at must have the most top quality and new central heating and air conditioning! Because having the finest indoor comfort is important for me to do my job and play well. If I do not have excellent heating and air conditioning then I can not perform very well and the people that hire me would not be blissful with that… Neither would the people who come to the bar to hear me and drink. This is why they all know that if I am to be there, they better have the heating and air conditioner in perfect working order. If it is not in perfect working order and of the highest quality and new they will instantaneously get it fixed before I am even stressed to be there. This is something that I tell them all up front. If you want to hire me, your central or commercial heating and cooling system has to be fully working and be the absolutely best so I have complete and total indoor comfort while I perform my music. There was only 1 time I can remember in recent years where the heating and air conditioner was not working properly. I wound up quitting the gig before I even got started and walked right out. I would rather lose some cash than be in such discomfort.

Ed is the boss at my modern job.

Ed was a former heating and air conditioner worker.

This was something that I could not figure out because how do you go from being a heating and air conditioner tech to the boss of an immense investment firm! Well, from the story Ed told it was due to the fact that one day she just woke up and was feeling sick and weary of all things heating and air conditioner. Ed was mega burned out on it all. Ed had been in the heating and cooling corporation as a certified heating and air conditioner tech for around 12 years when this happened. Ed decided she wanted to quit and go to school to learn about accounting and get a degree in it. Well, Ed did that and one thing lead to another and then she ended up doing so well that Ed became and boss and owner of her absolutely own investment firm, which is what I work for this week along with over 200 other employees! That is one hell of a success story if I have ever heard one in my whole full entire life! I easily respect Ed for what she was, how she admitted that it wasn’t for him after a decade or so and took charge of her life to make the changes she needed in order to be more blissful with her career. I can truthfully totally understand. I personally care nothing about heating and air conditioning other than if my home heating and cooling system is working ok!

Hybrid heating

I was absolutely impressed with my friend Sam’s brand new heating and air conditioner system.

Sam got 1 of the most brand new and new central heating and cooling systems which I had ever absolutely seen or experienced before, however my old central heating and air conditioner component is pretty crappy but still running OK, so it has not been time yet for me to invest into a newer central heating and cooling system.

But after seeing and experiencing Sam’s central heating and cooling system I can tell you that I am so eager to finally go out and buy my absolutely own brand new central heating and cooling system unit. It is vastly more powerful than the aged central heating and air conditioner units in addition to it giving better air flow which helps give better air quality. If my old central heating and cooling system was like this I would have no need for the whole condo sized media air cleaner that I have and invested in at one time. I will apparently keep that whole condo sized media air cleaner even if I get a brand new central heating and cooling system, because I had paid so much for it. However I will not have to turn it on as much if I have higher air quality from better air flow of my central heating and cooling system unit.

This is how it constantly amazes me on how this week’s heating and air conditioner technology can do what it does, however because it could not have even been imaginable before this

It totally blows my mind about how central heating and cooling systems back as short as 10 years ago used to be so much heavier than they are currently. It seems that way back in the day, before a central heating and cooling system needed to be moved by at least 2 or 3 heating and air conditioner workers and a dollie or hand truck. Today you can get a brand new and absolutely new central heating and cooling system components and move them all by yourself because they are no longer as heavy! Some of them are even small and compact in comparison. Heating and air conditioner technology has surely come a long way with what they can do these days; You have the now far lighter and less bulky central heating and cooling systems as one of the main major things in my personal opinion. Then of course you have portable space heaters and portable cooling systems that are much smaller and also more powerful than they used to be. This is how it constantly amazes me on how this week’s heating and air conditioner technology can do what it does, however because it could not have even been imaginable before this. I legitimately hope there are more things to come in the bold new world of heating and air conditioner technology. Because it will just keep getting better and better as the years roll on and on. I assume the future shall be absolutely great!

 

Air quality systems

I have been working in the heating and air conditioner corporation for almost 30 years now… And I must say that the best years in the heating and air conditioner corporation were back when I started. At that time everything seemed fresh and new and I easily felt great about what I was doing for a living. After 3 decades it gets kind of tiresome; I am absolutely thinking about going to get a new career for the next few years I have to work before I can retire, then heating and air conditioner is just boring to me now if you want my totally honorable opinion on it all. I just have to force myself to get out of bed everyday to come to work for the local heating and air conditioner supplier I work for just to maintenance or install yet another new central heating and cooling system unit, however with the way that modern heating and air conditioner technology has advanced it has made it harder for me since I was not taught any of this new technology nor was it anything like this when I passed Heating, Ventilation and A/C exams and got my respected heating and air conditioner certification, because times change and so does everything else, including my desire to want to continue on working as a heating and air conditioner specialist. The best years were the first 20. The last 8 or 10 years have been hell and I do assume it is going to be time for a major change sometime in the near future. I just have to figure things out on what I would like to do.

When I started working on my idea, I sort of passed it off as some little tech idea. You know, like an app or something. Most everyone inside the commercial HVAC of where I worked was always doing a side project or at least said they were. That’s sort of how us tech people operate. Too often, we want the glory and the riches of coming up with something amazing. But we also have to eat and that normally means opting to sit inside the commercial HVAC dealing with IT issues for a company. That’s exactly the route I took. I stayed inside that commercial HVAC for nearly 20 years doing a job that I was proficient at doing but it was so not a passion. My passion project was something I did at home inside the central air conditioning of my home office. My wife always supported this effort and I knew that I was onto something. But it took a very long time to find the right application. And when I did, I hit it rich. These days, there is a thermostat in my home office thanks to the zone controlled HVAC in this house. And I don’t have to work answering phones and solving problems inside that commercial HVAC of that company either. Shoot, we even have a pool with a pool house. And the pool house even has air conditioning so I can work from down there. I still really can’t get over the amazing quality heating and air the comes from the ductless heat pump in the pool house. Since I only answer to myself for work now, I can work from the pool house air conditioning all Summer long.

I’m really not quite sure how this is going to go.

The HVAC technician got the heat pump running again so we have air conditioning. But he was less than enthused about the possibility that we’ll get through the Summer with our residential HVAC. I was shocked by this statement. And I simply needed more of an explanation. The residential HVAC in question wasn’t even 20 years old yet. We inherited this HVAC equipment when we bought the house 11 years ago. So how could it already be about to give out? Well, the answer came with a bit of a harsh reality. The fact of the matter was, that I had once again forgotten to call for the air conditioning tune up this past Spring. And I never get the heating maintenance done on the heat pump in the Fall. Our Winters are so mild that the heating is rarely needed but a handful of times all Winter long. So we had only done the air conditioning tune ups. That’s when I got the truth. The HVAC technician looked it up and we had only gotten an air conditioning tune up twice in 11 years. The HVAC professional was matter of fact. He told me that most residential HVAC equipment like ours isn’t going to last as long as it should without regular, seasonal HVAC maintenance. And there was really nothing I could say about that. So the air conditioning is running once again. The HVAC technician suggested that we really lower the air conditioning demand as much as possible. This might get us through the Summer and allow us to save up for new HVAC equipment. And that new HVAC equipment will be getting seasonal HVAC maintenance every year for sure.
