Another good thing about working at home is being able to enjoy the HVAC system. I recently had a brand new HVAC system installed. It was quite expensive to have the heating and air conditioning system installed, but I got a really good deal from an HVAC repair center near me. Everyday that I work at home, I get to enjoy the quiet and the heating and air conditioning system. I also get to break for lunch whenever I want. There is no one at the house to tell me when it is time to take lunch. I can pick any time during the day that I want. When I was working in the office, everyone had to stop for lunch at 1:00 and we were all supposed to be back at 2:00. I really like being able to do things the way that I want and I am not looking forward to going back to the business office once it is reopened. The repairs are supposed to take two weeks and I hope that they take a month.

I like to look at Craigslist and Facebook marketplace, because there are always good deals on used items. Sometimes there are even free things that people just want to get rid of. A couple of months ago, I picked up a free outdoor patio set because someone was moving and needed to get rid of it quickly. When I was in the Marketplace this morning, I was looking at some of the electronics that were available. One item in particular caught my attention. It was an older space heater, but it was still in the box. Honestly, it didn’t look like the older space heater had ever been used before. The cord for the machine was still wrapped with a bread tie around it. The space heater was only $15. The MSRP on the box was $49.99 when it was brand new. Even though the space heater was older, it was still easily worth the $15 price tag on the front of the box. This winter when it gets cold, I think the space heater will really come in handy. We have some spots around the house where the drafty windows cause low indoor temperatures. We might even be able to save a little bit of money on our monthly heating bills if we can keep the space heater in our bedroom where it is always very drafty and cold.
