I believe you Should remember to send your HVAC company a Christmas card. If there is anyone who does not use their heating and cooling system, I do not know who that person is. At least in this country, anyway. We all use our air conditioning most of the Year down here in the South, and this year, our heating systems are also getting a workout. It’s freezing outside every night, and even during the daytime. It is now almost 10 a.m., and it is just now reaching 32 degrees. I love my HVAC company, my heating and cooling specialists, and the guys who keep the electricity running so that my HVAC system works.If you agree with me, this is a really good time to show your appreciation to your heating and cooling company. During this time of year, we often sit back and reflect on what it is that we love and on what it is that we would like to change about our lives.

I do try to be sure to appreciate everything in my life that I am fortunate enough to have.

I do realize that all good things come from he who gives them to us. Anyway, we too often take things for granted that we should not. One simple thing that we take for granted is Heating and Cooling. I live in the south, so for the most part, I use air conditioning. This year, though, it has gotten quite cold during this winter and fall, so I am now also using a lot of heating. I have a portable heater in my office, which is very convenient and can just be plugged into the wall, but at home I have an HVAC system where I simply turn my switch from the cooling setting to the heating setting. How much easier could it get? It simply could not get much easier, and it is wrong to take that for granted. Not only do I appreciate the actual heating and cooling system itself, I also take time to be appreciative of the actual HVAC company and the heating and cooling technicians that have decided to become Tradesman who can keep us from getting heat stroke or freezing to death. In fact, I even sent a Christmas card to my HVAC company this year. I have noticed that many companies often send out holiday cards to their customers and potential customers at this time of year, but I decided to turn it around on them and send them my appreciation and my greetings for a happy Christmas. I am thankful for my HVAC company and my heating and cooling system.

Some people believe that heating and cooling is luxury, but I have discovered and truly believe that heating and cooling is no longer a luxury, especially in this country.

Every year you can hear about people who died of heatstroke in the summer because they did not have good air conditioning or they chose not to use it because they did not feel they could afford it.

The same holds true in the winter. Especially this winter, the headlines are full of people who are actually freezing to death, either because they do not have any Access to heating or they are not using it for one reason or the other. There have been lots of winter storms, and that means that there has been lots of power knocked out, which also means there are people without heaters. Even when the weather is not as cold as it has been, heating is vital to life. Whenever the caveman or whoever discovered fire, they did a great thing for Humanity. In addition, the doctor who discovered cooling for the hospital where his TB patients were suffering, also did Humanity a huge favor. We like to think that we can do just fine without Heating and Cooling, and in fact it is true that there are people in other countries who do not have HVAC systems. In fact there are people who do not even have homes, and they do manage to survive. That is not how it works in this country, however. Here we must have Heating and Cooling in order to carry on each day.Even my dog looks at me funny when I try to get her to move away from the heating vent!

I have a fireplace in my living room, but if the truth be known I rarely use it.

I do enjoy the Ambiance that a fireplace provides, however, fireplaces are really not all that great a source of heating.

That is unless you get one of those fireplace inserts to turn your fireplace into an actual heater. In that event, your fireplace can be a good heater. That is not what I have, though. What I have is an old fashioned wood burning fireplace. In fact, when I choose to use it, it makes such a big mess that I normally wish that I would have just turned the thermostat on my heater up higher instead of dragging all that wood and creating all that Ash that has to be cleaned up and so on. Anyway, I am having a change of heart this Christmas. I am beginning to think that I will use my fireplace this Christmas. In fact, I already have used it. I made the Trek out to the local grocery store to pick up a bag of Wood. That would have already been burned in my beautiful fireplace, and I made sure to take nice pictures of it to post on social media. Anyway, I did discover that the fireplace really is not a good heater. I was sitting right in front of it, and I really could not even sense any heating coming into the room from it. I also scared the heck out of my dog. She was looking at me like why are you setting a fire in the living room? In any event, it was pretty, even though it really wasn’t a good heat source. Thankfully, I do have a good HVAC system with strong Heating and Cooling, so I did not have to rely on the fireplace to keep me warm.

I thought a Christmas wedding sounded lovely, plus I had dreamed of having mine on Christmas Day. Every one of us wanted to have an outdoor wedding under the stars. I hoped there would be snow, plus I was going to wear a faux truly white fur to keep me warm, plus my groom would wear a 1900s jacket. I had everything planned out except who the groom was going to be, but over the next couple of years, my wish for a Christmas afternoon wedding went away. I was start to not adore the frigid so much, so I was thinking it would be nice to have a wedding in the summer. Every one of us could have the wedding outside, but we could also go inside where there was air conditioner plus no bugs to eat our breakfast. It would be more comfortable dancing if there was air conditioner. More people would come to the wedding if they didn’t need to worry about the frigid plus snow. Of course, numerous of my family wouldn’t show up if it was sizzling plus clammy, and no matter what I did, I would lose family members even if we had an excellent gas furnace or air conditioner. When I got a wifey, we both talked about what kind of wedding we wanted. I had already decided it should be in the Springtime or fall plus I didn’t care if it was perfect; As long as the stadium was local plus it had excellent Heating plus Air Conditioning so we could would have whatever was needed; heating or air conditioner. I couldn’t recognize he felt the same way.

Mom & dad had an amazing time, & dad laughed & said that unlike their first reception, they that was inundated with Heating & Air Conditioning servicemans. They had a glitch in the furnace, & there was no heat in the locale when they arrived.
