I don’t really know a lot when it comes to heat, as I have always lived in warm climates and never had to use it.

But we are up in the northern part of the country now, very close to the mountains, and it is a lot colder here, so heat is a must. I don’t think anyone has air conditioning in this whole town, but with the way climate change is heating up the globe, they may have to get some in a few years. This town rarely sees hot days, even in the middle of the summer, as it sits way up north. I’ve never been this far north before and like visiting but I don’t think I could live in a place that doesn’t have beach volleyball. We are using a lot of heating during the day and night here and even have a big fire burning in the fireplace most of the time. I would love to come here for a visit every once in a while and I may even bring my roommate up here if it works out that way. She recently moved in with me recently and she works as a heating and cooling tech in a store very close to me. I kind of like her, but I will let her make the moves.

I thought a Christmas wedding sounded lovely, & I had dreamed of having mine on Christmas Day.

I had everything planned out except who the groom was going to be, over the next couple of years, my wish for a Christmas day wedding went away. I was beginning to not like the chilly so much, so I was thinking it would be nice to have a wedding in the summer. The two of us could have the wedding outside, however the people I was with and I could also go inside where there was air conditioner & no bugs to eat our dinner. It would be more comfortable dancing if there was air conditioner. More people would come to the wedding if they didn’t need to worry about the chilly & snow. Of course, several of my family would not show up if it was tepid & clammy. No matter what I did, I would lose family members even if the people I was with and I had an excellent furnace or air conditioner. When I got a guy, the people I was with and I both talked about what kind of wedding the people I was with and I wanted. I had already decided it should be in the Springtime or fall & I didn’t care if it was perfect, but as long as the locale was local & it had excellent Heating & Air Conditioning so the people I was with and I could would have whatever was needed; heating or air conditioner. I couldn’t guess he felt the same way.

My sibling and I were trying to plan a 50th birthday party for our parents. The two of us knew both of us could not have a party right on their birthday, but both of us wanted it close. The two of us knew both of us didn’t want to have the party when either heating or air conditioner was going to be a necessity. The two of us talked about an outdoor party, but after that I could run into it being a rainy day. The two of us knew both of us would need to option a date and then worry about the weather on the day of the party. My sister came home from school and helped us make the plans. She thought both of us should throw a dart at the calendar and take that date, but both of us couldn’t throw darts at a closed calendar, and what if the dart landed on a weekday? The two of us wrote four odd weekends, closed our eyep and threw a dart. The weekend the dart landed on was so close to Winter time that both of us were anxious with needing a furnace, but both of us made the decision. On the weekend of the party, it was cold, but both of us had an excellent furnace in the arena both of us booked. The two of us were lucky it didn’t snow, because a lot of the guests ventured out onto the patio to talk and adore the quiet. Dad and dad had an amazing time, and dad laughed and said that unlike their first reception, they that was inundated with HVAC contractors. They had a glitch in the furnace, and there was no heat in the arena when they arrived.

My boyfriend works for a theater company in the art department. He works on stage props and other parts of the scenery. When the theater was showing one of my favorite plays, I invited my mom to come see the show with me. My boyfriend said he could get my mom and I tickets that were much better than anything that we could buy from the ticket booth. My boyfriend got us seats that were in the fourth row. The theater seats were really nice. There was an armrest for my mom and plenty of room for her to sit comfortably. We had drink service before the play and during the intermission all courtesy of the staff. While we watched the show, we were very comfortable too. We were seated right under an air conditioner vent. It was a little too chilly for my mom. She put on her sweater halfway through the show. I enjoyed the cool air conditioning a great deal. Most of the time I get stuck sitting next to a bunch of people that give off a ton of heat and I am never under the air conditioner vent. It was nice to have great seats, drinks, and a comfortable place to sit while my mom and I enjoyed the show. After it was over, my mom and I found my boyfriend. He was working in the lightroom. My mom gave him a really big hug and thanked him for giving her a great experience at the theater. I kissed my boyfriend and said thank you too. We really did have a lovely evening.

I have been working at the heating and AC repair and installation business for the past 3 years.

When I started working here, there were only a few other heating and AC repair and installation technicians. Now there are more than a dozen repair technicians working for the company. We service the entire county as well as a large portion of the surrounding area. Every day there are heating and AC repair and installation service calls and it is my responsibility to handle problems when they come. I worked all five days Monday through Friday last week and the boss asked me to pick up the weekend as well. One of the new guys was sick with covid and someone had to cover the weekend days. My boss had plans to go out of town and he even offered to pay me extra. I told my boss it wasn’t necessary, because I was going to be paid extra anyways for being the on-call service technician. There were a couple of calls throughout the weekend and I handled everything without any issues. I had a stack of invoices to give to my boss and the repairs totaled more than $2000. On Monday morning I gave all of the invoices to the boss and he presented me with a $250 Visa gift card. He told me that the extra money was a thank you for being there on the weekend when there was no one else to work. I thought it was a nice gesture and I didn’t say no.

I’m trying to get my work done early this week so that I can go visit my stepmom in my Mom’s big old condo that he left when he left us several years ago.

He’s been gone for 26 months now and it still just feels love a dream that he went and died on us.

Oh well, I could hold a grudge about this for a long time and just hurt myself more or just let it go! Heater repair is what I do now on the side to acquire some cash, even though I actually want to make cash playing songs in clubs around the country where I live overseas. I am a drummer and singer and I am actually inspired to play songs for the rest of my afternoons. I was running my own supplier for several years but just got bored with it, so I began a journey of self discovery, which has led me all around the world and given me a whole bunch of new experiences that I wouldn’t have gotten if I kept running my Heating and Air Conditioning business. Lots of my friends are stuck in the same old careers and they seem love their spirits have been taken away from them. Heating and cooling equipment is okay to work on but songs is what lights a fire inside of me.
