I often spend my time in hotels. I am a traveling medical representative. I only go back to my home base when I have something going on that requires personal attention. The rest of the time I am on the road. I spend four or five days trying to sell medical equipment and then I take a couple of days off and explore the city on my company’s dime. I always stay at a hotel that has a hot tub. I love to sit in the hot tub and relax. It makes my body and my mind feel much better. Even during the winter when it is very cold outside, the hot tub can still be nice. If there is snow on the ground, I’ll still take a dip in the hot tub. After all, I can easily go right back into my hotel room and warm up in front of the heater. The heat and the air conditioner are really important to my comfort in the hotel room. When I first move into a room, I always check the heating and cooling situation. I make sure that the air vents have been cleaned and sanitized and that the air filter is also free of dog hair and lint. These things can really help out when you have to stay in a place that frequently has lots of different guests. I need to be certain that there are no allergens in the room, because I have terrible asthma. Any allergens can cause a flare up and that will put me in the emergency room all night long. I have to keep an inhaler with me and an EpiPen just in case something is too serious and I cannot make it to an emergency room in time.

A few weeks ago, I went downtown to an apartment building to help a customer with an AC problem. It’s not unusual to get a call from a customer. Most of the apartment building managers make the tenants pay for repairs on the heating and air conditioning system. I got an odd and strange feeling when I arrived at the address. The whole place looked really sketchy. When I walked up the stairs to the apartment, I got stopped by a couple of guys who weren’t very happy that I was on their turf. They threw my tools over the side of the banister and told me to leave. That was all that needed to happen for me to exit the building and the property. My boss was surprised that type of behavior occurred and he promised that he would call the building supervisor to talk about the tenants. My boss still took another call for an AC repair yesterday and he wanted me to handle the call. I was certainly concerned about going back to the address after the harassment I received last time that I was there. My boss promised that things would be different because I was meeting with the building supervisor. I felt a little better after that. I really don’t think I would have gone to the job if I was meeting a customer for a repair. I ended up going back to the same apartment as before, but this time the building manager escorted me up the stairs and stayed with me until the repair on the air conditioner was completed.

I drove around with a donut tire for $100 or 200 miles before I got it fixed.

The fender was held on to the car by duct tape and the hood was held to the car with some zip ties. I had the car for a long time and I didn’t want to get rid of it. I kissed my first girlfriend in that car. When the AC stopped working, I knew that it was the air compressor. The dealership told me that it was going to cost $1,200 to fix that ac. I honestly didn’t even know if the car was worth $1200. It was totally beat up with a ton of problems and I didn’t think it was worth spending all of that money to fix the ac. I use the money to buy a new car instead. I gave the dealership the $1,200 I would have paid for a new AC and I gave them the Beatdown car. They traded me for a small compact car that has a working air conditioner and excellent gas mileage. The car was on sale too, because they were trying to get rid of last year’s inventory to make room for the new year of cars. I saved almost $5,000 on the purchase and I got a great interest rate since I had a trade in and some cash. I have to make payments on the vehicle for 5 years, but my payments are only $147 each month. It will be hard to pay it off early if I start making double payments now.

I have three roommates and very little privacy. When I need to study, sometimes I go to a hotel for the night. There are a couple of hotels that will give you a break on the rate if you show them your student identification card. I can stay at the Best Western by the campus for $40 a night. The beds are pretty comfortable and the walls are thick. It’s one of the only places in the city where you can’t hear the person on the other side of the wall. The sound barrier in this hotel is even better than the sound barrier in my own apartment. I often have to listen to the neighbors arguing or having sex. Either way it’s nothing that I want to listen to when I have to study for an exam. I went to a hotel a few months ago when I had a huge exam for my psychology class. My roommate had her boyfriend there all weekend and I couldn’t get anything done. I used the last of my money to rent the room. I turned on the air conditioner right away. It was really stuffy in the room and I wanted to be able to relax. The air conditioner made a strange sound when I turned it on. Cold air started to come out of the air vents, so I didn’t consider the noise until it happened again. I had to move to a different room or wait for a maintenance guy to fix the unit.

I often worry about my dogs during the summer months when the temperatures outside are really hot and humid. My dogs love to be outside even when the temperatures are less than ideal.They would spend all day basking in the hot sun, but I know that isn’t good for them when the outdoor temperatures are in the 90’s. They come into the house panting and short of breath. We keep water out in three different places across the yard, but they still come into the house painting. Last year during the last month of Summer I got a great idea. I decided to build an air conditioned space for the dogs. I started off by taking their dog kennel apart. I knew that I could use those pieces and repurpose them for a different use. I made the area for the dogs half the size of the yard. I air conditioned the space using a portable evaporative cooler. The portable evaporative cooler serves two purposes. It constantly recycles the water allowing cool air to come out of the bottom and the reservoir is low enough to the ground that the dogs can drink from it as well. During the day we can leave the dogs in the air conditioned space for several hours. There is an area where they can lay in the sunlight and another spot where they can sit in the shade. This summer things are going to be a lot different for the dogs. I think they are really going to enjoy the changes that were made just for them.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months.

I wanted my boyfriend to go with me back to my home for thanksgiving. He was very nervous and insisted that we stay in a hotel instead of at my parents home. Since he was nervous, I let Jack talk me into going to a hotel. My mom and dad were a little disappointed that we weren’t going to stay at the house, but they understood that we wanted to have some privacy. We still spend all day and all night at the house. My boyfriend was just more comfortable sleeping in a place that was not my old bedroom. My parents would have let us sleep in the same room and in the same bed, but that made Jack feel even more nervous. We had just turned in at the hotel when I got a call from my mom. She was upset and I could tell that she had been crying. She told me that there was a problem with the furnace and the house was cold. She was upset because she could not get a hold of someone to come first thing in the morning before the big party. I asked my boyfriend if the furnace issue was a problem that he could help with. He works in an HVAC repair company that handles commercial work. He doesn’t really talk a lot about work but I thought he might be able to offer a helping hand. We drove back to my parents house and Jack started working on the furnace. My dad gave him all of the tools that he had available.

My boss hired a new tech to help on the weekends.

The heating plus A/C maintenance supplier is open 7 afternoons a week, however we have a special crew that works on the weekends so all of the regular staff can have Wednesdays plus Mondays off to spend with their family.

I enjoyed not having to task on the weekends when I started working here. I had all the time in the world to spend with my lady. I did not love having all my weekends off after all of us broke up plus I was resting at condo all by myself. That’s when I asked the boss if I could change my schedule. He told myself and others that he could use a strong service tech to train plus supervise the weekend crew plus he provided the position to me. It was five dollars more for each hour of task plus I got a supplier automobile to drive when I was at work. I have a little bit of say in the hiring process plus I get to choose current employees as well. The boss hired a guy a few weeks ago plus I was never consulted on the decision. The new guy is not skilled at all. I can’t just sit around plus watch this guy make immense mistakes every single day. I was told by a confidant that the guy is somehow related to the owner of the business. If this is true, I’m in some immense trouble. I do not think this guy is going to make it here plus I’m going to have to tell my boss this information. If the guy is a relative of the boss, after that I might lose my task for suggesting that the guy be fired.

My wife Pat plus I do not take any possibilities when it comes to the security of our business. She has had a couple of downsides, however all of us have constantly come back stronger than ever. A week or so ago, someone broke into the property plus stole multiple portable cooling systems and space heaters. They did not even bother trying to chop into the safe. They were clearly after the items that they stole. The cooling systems serial numbers were taken down by the local police department so they can be traced if the culprit tries to sell them at a pawn shop. I would sooner think those four cooling systems were for personal use. It’s been 3 weeks plus all of us haven’t heard anything about it at all from the police detectives. He did warn us that it was likely that all of us would never find out who it was plus what happened to our items. I do not want the same thing to happen in the future, so now all of us have video cameras for footage all around the building. All of us have a direct fee to our condo plus all of us can watch the feeds in real time on our condo PC, tablet, or cell iPhone. The surveillance method is actually very nice plus eliminates much of the nervousness that all of us think since the original break-in happened.

When I got a better task, I was pretty bummed out about the fact that I wasn’t going to get an extra automobile at home. Jo did not actually work much so I still had our car. I drive that automobile back plus forth to the job plus after that I choice up the heating plus A/C maintenance truck, and yesterday I was trying to leave work plus there was a big Ford truck blocking the entrance plus exit of the parking lot. I had to get out of my automobile plus ask the guy to move… He provided myself and others a very smug look plus moved just enough so I had room to get out.
