I knew it was going to be difficult to join a profession with a bunch of men.

The HVAC repair industry is filled with men and it can be hard to find a woman working in the field at every shop. I Headed to become an HVAC repair technician, because my dad worked in the industry. When I was a kid, he brought home projects like broken furnishers and space heaters. I watched him take heating machines apart and put them back together. I was always intrigued by the puzzle and I thought it was a lot of fun to watch my dad work. He died when I was only 16 years old and I decided to make HVAC repair my career. I spent 12 months in a technical school learning everything necessary to become a successful repair technician. I was the only female in the technical class, but all of the guys were very kind and nice. None of them gave me a hard time about pursuing the career that I chose. That changed a great deal after I found my first job. I was hired a few months after I became certified in heating and air conditioning repair work. I was the only female working with a group of guys and they teased me for the first couple of weeks. I didn’t care and I didn’t let it bother me, because I was happy working in the same field as my dad and I wasn’t going to let anyone get in the way of my pursuit of happiness.

I needed to find someone to help on the weekend days at the repair shop.

My regular HVAC technicians didn’t want to work every weekend and I knew they were getting burnt out.

I didn’t know if I would be able to find someone to offer help only during Saturday and Sunday, but I was surprised by the number of applications that I received after posting an ad online. I needed someone with a few years of experience working on HVAC repairs and installations. Several of the candidates were new HVAC technicians and I got rid of those applications right away. I was left with 10 people that seemed like a good fit for the job. I decided to conduct interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday. I had five candidates interview each day and I told all of them that I would make a decision and call them individually by Friday afternoon. The first few interviews went well, but Tuesday afternoon I found the perfect applicant. I still interviewed all of the people on Wednesday, because I didn’t want to waste their time. It could have been possible to find a second weekend repair person that I absolutely loved, but the guy that I hired was actually perfect for that job. He already has a full-time job and needs to make a couple of extra dollars on the weekend. It worked out perfectly after I saw his resume. The guy has all of the skills necessary to take care of any problem that comes up during the weekend shift.

I absolutely love my grandmother.

• She is one of the nicest people in the world.

She is kind with a very warm heart. Ever since I was a little kid, she has been there for me. When both of my parents had to work full time, I was always at my gram’s house. I spent a lot of afternoons sitting in the kitchen watching her cook dinner. She helped me with my homework and taught me how to make biscuits. Even now that I am older and married, I still visit with my grandmother every week. Last time I went to visit, I told my grandmother. The air conditioner in the boy’s bedroom wasn’t cooling very well and I was thinking about replacing the machine. I was planning to wait until tax time, since it wasn’t very warm outside and the air conditioner wasn’t necessary yet. When I went to visit my grandmother on Friday afternoon, there was a large box sitting on the porch. My grandmother told me that it was heavy, but she insisted that I put it in the back of my car and take it home. I looked at the bottom of the box and I saw that it was a room air conditioner. I told my grandmother that I loved the gift, but I told her it wasn’t necessary. I had money to buy the air conditioner now, but I was waiting until tax time on purpose. She told me that I should keep the air conditioner and she wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

I wanted to be a doctor when I was a little kid, but the sight of blood made me throw up every time.

For a while, I thought it would be neat to fly a jet, but I get airsick very easily.

I was worried that I would never find something to make me happy, so I joined the army. While I was in the military, I had to learn a skill. I ended up working as a repairman on heating and air conditioning systems. Whenever there was a problem in the office buildings or barracks, I was the person called to fix the heating and air conditioning system. It wasn’t an awful job, and I never had to leave the states because there was always a need for me at home. I spent 12 years in the armed services and then I decided to leave the military when I got married. My wife wanted to have children and she didn’t want to raise them alone. I understood that I was giving up a lot, but I wanted my life to be happy. I had to find a job in the civilian world and the only skills I had was heating and air conditioner repair work. It was my best shot at finding a good job, and I placed a lot of different applications with local service centers. It didn’t take long to find a job, because I had plenty of skills. A couple of years after I was out of the service, my wife had our first child and five more to follow. I thought it was going to be difficult to leave the military, but it was the best edition of my life.

I checked into a hotel for 3 days so I could spend time with my mom and dad. They were coming to visit and they were staying in the same hotel. They couldn’t stay with my friends and I in our apartment, because it is always very loud and rowdy. I knew it was going to work out better if we spent time at the hotel during the days that my parents came to visit. When I checked into the hotel, I told the lady at the front desk. I was looking forward to visiting their state-of-the-art Fitness Center. I work out 7 days a week, but most of the time it is at the fitness center in my apartment building. It isn’t state-of-the-art and most of the machines are old and broken. I was excited to see all of the exercise equipment. I went to the fitness center early the first morning, so I could exercise before my mom and dad arrived on the plane. I went downstairs in my workout shirt and shorts and walked through the lobby towards the fitness center. I grabbed the door and it was locked. That’s when I noticed the sign on the door. The fitness center was closed because they were remodeling the heating and air conditioning system. There was damage to the AC during the last rain storm and both the weather and AC were being replaced as safety precautions. The desk clerk failed to mention that when I checked into the room. The sign on the door was dated a week previously. I went right to the front desk and complained to the staff member.

Suffering from allergies can be a serious problem, especially if you are allergic to multiple items.

I am allergic to lots of different things like ragweed, pollen, fresh cut grass, and a variety of other outdoor allergens.

The problem began when I was younger and it has continued to get worse as I have gotten older. A lot of people say their allergies get better when they age, but mine have continued to get worse. I find myself allergic to times that I never had problems with in the past. During allergy season, I have to constantly use an indoor air purifier. I have an air purifier in the living room and another one in the bedroom. Both machines run simultaneously, especially during the hay fever and pollen season. The air purifier in my living room is portable, so I can move it to other areas of the house like the kitchen or the dining room. I never needed an air purifier until a couple of years ago when an allergy attack sent me to the emergency room. My throat was swollen and I had to get a shot of epinephrine from the doctor. I thought I was going to pass out and die and I was extremely thankful that I wasn’t alone when the horrible reaction occurred. My friends and I had been outside hiking that day. They took me straight to the ER when the reaction started to appear. I knew I was taking chances going outside for a hike during hayfever and allergy season, but I didn’t expect those awful results.

I absolutely love to go scuba diving. It’s one of my favorite activities when the weather is clear and the water isn’t too choppy. I have a small boat that my mom and dad gave me when I was 21 years old. The boat had a cabin below with a small bed, sink and toilet. I never go out on the water alone, because it’s dangerous to scuba dive without a partner. My best friend and I usually go on the weekends, when both of us don’t have to work. Last Saturday, the two of us went out to the reef to explore some areas where people spotted unusually large hammerhead sharks. It was really hot inside of my scuba suit. We were under water for a long while and I was feeling very tired. We came up to the surface and I decided to go down below deck to sit in the AC. I was never so happy that I decided to add AC to the boat. The air conditioning system did not come standard with this boat when my parents purchased it in 1990. I knew that an air conditioner was going to be extremely helpful if I planned to spend several days at a time on the water. I hired a special contractor to help me with the design. My best friend and I have been discussing taking the boat to the islands, but I still feel nervous taking her that far. I think waiting until next summer might give me some time to really get comfortable with the controls.

When I was a kid, my grandfather gave me a couple of stamps from World War II. My grandfather collected stamps and he had a very large book with interesting stamps from all over the world. I remember my grandfather had some that would have been worth thousands of dollars, but they received damage from moisture when my grandfather was still overseas. When I was old enough to live on my own, I started collecting a lot of different stamps. Some of them were very expensive and I didn’t want them to be ruined in the hot sun and humidity. I thought an air purifier would help, but the guy at the hardware store suggested a dehumidifier instead. The dehumidifier doesn’t get rid of indoor air pollutants, but it is absolutely the best machine if you are trying to get rid of moisture in the air. The dehumidifier is quite small, but very powerful and quiet. I keep the dehumidifier in my closet, because it is a very small space. This allows me to use a smaller than average machine to solve the moisture problem. I have my stamps in a box on the top shelf and it is very cool, dark, and there is not a lot of moisture in that room at all. It’s a perfect place to keep all of the stamps that I hope to sell one day when I eventually find a wife and get married. I am saving the stamps so I can use the money to have a dream wedding with pink and white flowers, a string quartet, and a ballroom floor. It’s going to be perfect.

It’s very easy to see that no one uses the public library anymore.

When I was a kid, the public library was a wonderful place to visit.

It was filled with books, videos, magazines, and historical documents. When I was a kid, the library was always filled after school. Sometimes I sat in the building just doing my homework. The library was a few blocks away from the middle school and it was the perfect place to hang out with my friends when school was finished. As long as we were quiet, the librarian never complained or made us leave. That was almost 20 years ago, and the library has changed a great deal. I only recently had children and I decided to visit the library to look for some parenting books. I got a nostalgic feeling as soon as I walked into the door. Nothing at all has changed since I was a child and that includes the furniture and the librarian. Another thing that hasn’t changed at all is the heating and air conditioning system. The air vents in the ceiling looked as old as the books in the historical section. The air vents were covered with dirt and grime. The air conditioner was barely blowing any cold air at all. I could tell, because there was a long line of cobwebs from the air vent to the wall and it barely moved at all when the air conditioner was running. It makes me very sad to see the condition of the library and I wish the town will do something to restore the building and its contents.

I stopped at my mom’s place on my way home from work last week. I didn’t call and give her a heads up. I wanted the stop to be a surprise. The last few times I’ve gone to my mom’s house, I’ve been concerned about her health and the condition of the house. I’m not sure if my mom is actually taking care of herself. When I stopped last week, the house was a mess. My mom was laying in bed in her pajamas and she had a bag of chips on the bed. I honestly don’t think she ate anything that day except snack food. I got my mom dressed and made some food in the kitchen. I tried to clean up the house while my mom was eating, but she got angry and told me to leave it alone. It was very warm and humid in the house, so I decided to check on the indoor temperature. I looked at the thermostat and I was surprised that it was off. I asked my mom why she had the air conditioner off when it was so warm in the house. She told me that it cost a lot of money to use the air conditioner and she wasn’t going to pay the high bills anymore. It’s clear to me that my mom is getting too old to live alone. It’s important to run the air conditioner to keep mold and mildew from developing inside of the house. My mom knows it is important and she still doesn’t want that air conditioner on. That is one big sign to me that it is time to think about my mother’s needs.
