When it became clear that I wasn’t going to get our hubby to leave here after he retired, I was disappointed.

While I was still going to have to deal with the cold of winter, I wanted to care about the rest of the year as much as possible. This is 1 of the major reasons that I had a big sunroom added to our house. I’m not as mobile as I once was and all of us live in a honestly hilly city. That makes getting out for our walks a bit more difficult. With the sunroom, I can care about the beauty of where all of us live and still be around the house. However, I also had a ductless heat pump added to the sunroom to max out the comfort levels. What I found out was something I didn’t expect. No, I’m not hip, trendy or in any way costly. So, it’s sort of taxing to believe that I have a garage with air conditioning. I can hardly believe it myself. That’s honestly what the garage has constantly been for me. I take after our Mom in that respect. My Mom wasn’t much of a rest in the recliner in the air conditioning sort of man. He was constantly tinkering with something at his work bench. He had a work bench in the garage and 1 in the basement. The 1 in the garage was the 1 he used almost all year and for most projects. The work bench in the basement was next to the boiler and he could stay hot in the winter. I wonder what he’d say about our set up. It was much love his honestly for years. But I finally got tired of covered in sweat it out when the Summer heat hits. The people I was with and I live in a region where the Winter is not the problem. The Summer heat is what you have to look out for. So the addition of the ductless heat pump in the garage has been appealing. I can care about plenty of Heating & Air Conditioning cooling all Summer out there and still have our peace and quiet. Although, I do get some projects done at our workbench. But really, I’m just soaking up all the quality heating and air out there now.

It was sort of strange to see the look on our boss’s face when I told him that I was opting to stay laboring from home.

This was absolutely the last thing he thought he’d be hearing from me.

And I understand how he felt this way. It was me who was hollering from the rooftops when the decided to close the office due to the pandemic. So when I told our boss that I was taking the company chance of staying home, he was stunned however cheerful that I would still be churning out good work. The office at home is the equal of our aged office now that I had a ductless heat pump installed inside what once was the guest room.

Given that our winters are mild, I was confident that we could get through this past a single without a problem. And we did. But having that heads up was instrumental for us as we are now all set up to have the heat pump replaced in the coming weeks. That means that we go into the heat season fully prepared with brand new Heating and A/C cooling.

So several of our friends and family have complained about how freezing I keep it in our house.

I have finally come up with a new plan.

I now have a bin that’s full of guest slippers and jackets that people can use whenever they come over to our beach house to visit. I started to think that maybe I wasn’t being a honestly wonderful server because everyone always seemed to be so freezing in our beach house all the time. I didn’t love seeing our guests shivering and feeling freezing all the time, then they would act love they were cold and during the winter, people in the small group that I host once a month would squeeze in next to the gas log fireplace just to try and get warm. It would make myself and others laugh a little bit just because I don’t ever believe freezing in our house. I’m always hot and so I hardly ever have the heating turned up in our beach house honestly much. I don’t love the way that it feels so hot and stuffy in the beach house whenever I have the heating system turned up. My husband and I are both pretty hot natured, and so the two of us don’t end up with high heating bills during the winter, that’s for sure. However, when you host as several gatherings as the two of us do, you have to start thinking about the people that you are dealing with as your visitors. That’s what happened to me, anyway; Now that I have this bin full of guest slippers and jackets, I believe that everyone will be much happier and warmer in our house!
