I was never really a huge fan of the whole social media thing.

Honestly, it seems like everybody is too fake when it comes to having online profiles and showing what their lives are like.

It’s like everybody has their own piece of reality show and just like those shows, it all seems fake as ever. I have this one cousin who actually talked me into signing up for social media. I just put a bunch of family on there and eventually added some friends. My cousin started annoying me with all his posts though. He was regularly posting all the stuff he was eating, the stuff he was buying at the store, and even how he felt getting out of the shower. While I thought it all was annoying, I thought I could give him a tip about the shower thing. He was complaining about how frosty the tiles were when he got out of the shower. He said he thought about using a portable heating system to help, but he thought it might be dangerous using a heating system in the bathroom. I told him it was a good idea to invest in radiant heated floors. He said he thought those would be expensive to have installed. I told him it would be costly if he had his whole home hooked up with radiant heating, but he could always just get electric heating tiles for the bathroom or he could go with a hydronic heating system. I told him how I had my bathroom hooked up that way and I never had to worry about the frosty bathroom tiles. He thanked me for the advice, but I realized that our conversation was open to the whole public, and I didn’t like that very much.

I thought it was the coolest thing ever when we had an HVAC professional come to our school during career week.

There were a lot of different professionals who came through, but this guy had the best sense of humour.

The other guys made their careers sound boring, and I actually fell asleep when the plumber was talking. But the HVAC professional even had the teachers laughing. I also learned a few things too. For example, when you are getting an A/C system for your home, you have to make sure the condenser unit is the right size. If you get something that is too powerful, it will cause short-cycling and wear out your system quickly. If your condenser unit is too weak, then it will keep running forever without reading the desired temperature control settings. I always assumed the bigger the better, but that’s not the case when it comes to HVAC systems. The work seemed so interesting and I wanted to know more. I actually asked a lot of questions and the HVAC professional came to speak to me in person because of my interest. He said that I was a bright young kid and I would always start working at the HVAC company and he would teach me more about heating and cooling repair. He even said the boss might consider paying for my schooling to become HVAC certified if he thought I had what it takes. I decided to go for it. Before I knew it, I had a job at the HVAC company and it was great getting to know all the professionals. Eventually I was able to get my HVAC certification and I make excellent money now as an HVAC professional.

When I first moved to this new area, I didn’t know what I was getting into.

I was thinking the winters couldn’t be too bad, but this is the thing that I was the most wrong about. It seemed like just a few weeks after I moved in, all the brutal snow storms came through. I got so much snow that I didn’t know how to get rid of it all. I actually had a snowblower before I moved to this place, but I sold it before I moved. I was thinking that since I was moving further south, I would be fine with shoveling. Honestly, I got more snow in this place than I would get where I came from. It was difficult driving on the roads too. I would be cranking up my heating system driving from place to place and I would be nervous about there being black ice on the road. For the most part, I would try to avoid having to drive during winter weather. It’s actually more dangerous around here than where I come from. This is because they used to salt the streets where I was living, but around these parts you’re lucky if they plow your street often enough. I couldn’t believe when I was out there shoveling, the snow was so deep. The road wasn’t driveable and there was nothing but silence. It was kind of magical in a way though, I never experienced such silence and it was peaceful. Of course, I still couldn’t wait to get back inside to the comfort of the heating system and the fireplace when I was done shoveling. One thing I definitely did right away after that initial snowstorm was get a new snowblower, a powerful one.

I didn’t know much about HVAC systems when I was young, but I wanted to learn about them.

I think I became interested in the HVAC ever since my parents caught me playing with the thermostat.

They said that I was not allowed to touch that or any electrical devices that I didn’t understand. The thing is, I was curious and I wanted to see what everything did around the house. When I was punished for messing with the thermostat, I learned that the higher the number went, the hotter it became in the house. The colder the number was, the more freezing it would be. I remembered the thermostat went down to 45 degrees, and I wondered who would want it to be so cold. I later learned that it’s good to set your thermostat to minimal settings when you go on a trip or something like that. It’s also wise to invest in a programmable thermostat or a smart thermostat. I learned the importance of changing the air filters over the years too. There was a time when I always got the cheapest air filters I could find. I thought I was putting more money in my pocket, but I was really setting up the HVAC system for failure. When you use those junk air filters, they allow all kinds of debris to get into your HVAC unit causing all sorts of issues. In my case, I had to pay for an expensive repair. I never want to have to do that again, so these days I’m on an HVAC service plan and my HVAC company takes good care of my HAC system.

I actually thought I had a great HVAC company until they told me they couldn’t take care of my duct cleaning one day.

The air quality was becoming bad in my home and I would have thought the last HVAC professionals would have mentioned something about my ductwork needing a thorough cleaning.

Nobody said anything and I didn’t even notice it was an issue until I started seeing dust collecting all over the place. I had been changing the air filters regularly and the only other thing I could think of was an issue with the ducts. When I peered into the ductwork with a flashlight, there were so many clogs and it was a wonder that my HVAC system was even working. Well, it alarmed me when my HVAC company said they were backed up for weeks and they actually said I should go with somebody else. I called a few other places and they couldn’t take care of my ductwork cleaning either. I mean, I guess it’s my own fault because it was the middle of summer when everybody was looking to get their cooling systems worked on. So I ended up calling this family owned HVAC business and I was so happy when they said they would get out the same day for the duct cleaning! These guys were friendly, professional, and provided the best service I ever had from an HVAC business. These are my goto HVAC professionals moving forward.

When I first decided to invest in a smart thermostat, I decided to go for one of the cheaper HVAC brands.

• I thought the smart thermostat was amazing and it did save me a lot on my energy bills.

It didn’t have all the awesome features that many smart thermostats have like geofencing, unfortunately. I was actually thinking about going for a different smart thermostat but realized how ridiculous it would be to go for something else when I already had a nice thermostat. At least it seemed to be a nice thermostat until I was feeling extremely overheated one summer day. I remember for a brief moment, I was thinking the batteries died. Then it occurred to me that this thermostat was hooked up directly to a C wire and there was no need for batteries. The screen was dead and everything. I thought maybe the connection was bad. I ended up plugging in my old programmable thermostat and that worked just fine. I was able to get the A/C working again and for that I was grateful. I tried to actually get a refund for that thermostat, but they said I had too much use to get a refund. They apologized for the inconvenience and that was that. I ended up asking a friend about the more reputable HVAC brands for smart thermostats and I heard about a few of them. I ended up going for one of the HVAC brands that was the best, even though it was kind of pricey. It has all the best features though like geofencing, control of my new blinds, and voice control technology. It’s a wonderful thermostat and I have a good warranty on it if I have any issues.

It wasn’t until we had a cookout recently when I realized there was something wrong with our HVAC system.

The HVAC was really struggling to target the indoor climate control settings when we had a lot of people over.

The A/C was not as cold as it was supposed to be at all and so I called out an HVAC professional. He was able to come out the next day and that’s when he told me that there were numerous leaks around my ductwork system. He explained how all the A/C was basically escaping before it could get to the desired locations in my home and he said that my energy bills were likely out of control. Fortunately, we had just got into the summer season and we hadn’t been using the A/C system like crazy. So I went for the ductwork sealing service which was expensive, but it definitely was worth it! After the initial spike in my energy bills, now my electric bill is lower than ever after getting the ductwork sealing handled. I still think that I might not have noticed if we didn’t have the cookout in the beginning of the summer. It would have taken me a few more outrageous energy bills to realize that the A/C system was in dire need of help, and that was to fix the problem with the ductwork system. I’m happy I was able to get everything fixed before we got into the middle of the summer with the heatwave that came through. Fortunately, our A/C worked fine through the rest of the summer.

I honestly took offense when my nephews were talking trash about my programmable thermostat.

I was proud of that thermostat as I installed it on my own and I was able to program it just right.

Rarely do I ever need to adjust my thermostat and that thing has saved me a small fortune over the years. They were talking about how that ancient thermostat would never be as good as their fancy smart thermostat. I didn’t think them saying something so childish would bother me, but it did. My brother always had to have the best things and here he was spoiling his children like crazy. When they said their thermostat had voice control technology, I actually became a little bit jealous. They said they could even ask the thermostat what the weather forecast was and it would speak back to them and let them know. I finally had enough and decided to look into the smart thermostats myself. I was surprised to learn that you actually can save up to 15% on your energy bills when you use one of these smart thermostats. That reason alone was actually good enough to make me want to invest in one of these thermostats. So I ended up getting one and it was probably the best decision I ever made. I also decided to one up my brother. While he had a cool smart thermostat that would tell him the weather forecast and things like that, my thermostat has a beautiful touchscreen and has all the voice control options as well!

I am the kind of person that prefers to research everything before I take the job.

I adore to make sure I have thoroughly looked at all of my possibilities & that I am in the best place possible to make an informed decision.

So when my fiance told myself and others that he wanted to replace our heating & cooling program I thought it would be a fantastic program for myself and others to take a look at all the facts & figures available online. My fiance thought I was crazy because he said he had already done research on the heating & cooling program in our home, but sometimes I don’t trust that means get the job done properly! You absolutely do have to do things yourself sometimes. So I am gleeful to say that after some extensive research on heating & cooling systems, I believe my fiance truly made the right choice. I believe he is official that all of us do need a brand modern heating & cooling program in our home & I believe the a single that he chose is great. I was kind of shocked that my fiance didn’t use the most pricey heating & cooling program on the market, but I’m not complaining. There are other small projects around the home that I would adore to complete as well & saving currency on the heating & cooling program will absolutely help us out in the end. I am not absolutely gleeful to have the modern heating & cooling program installed in our home & can’t wait for the renovation to start.

So installing the floor gas furnace makes no sense for our home

My fiance works in the corporate department of a national heating & cooling business, then so he is always coming to myself and others with these crazy ideas about having a brand modern heating & cooling program installed in our house, then i told my fiance if he doesn’t stop reading the local HVAC technology area of the newspaper that I was going to kick him out of the home because all of us have spent too much currency on upgrading our heating & cooling program since all of us got married; My fiance & I have been married for 10 years & in those 10 years I believe all of us have spent almost $1 million on heating & cooling equipment, then that might be an exaggeration but really it’s what it feels like. I told my fiance that if he gets to spend all this currency on heating & cooling unit that I get to spend that much currency shopping. So when he came to the home numerous evenings ago & told myself and others that he wanted to install the floor gas furnace in our condo I told him he was crazy. The people I was with and I live in a southern section of the country that never gets frigid weather at all while all of us were in the year. So installing the floor gas furnace makes no sense for our home. I guess all of us got gleeful about the floor gas furnace & I shot him down. I just have to keep them in check when he sees all these exciting HVAC technology articles at work. The people I was with and I don’t need to spend all our currency on heating & cooling equipment.
