The ground was dry and all of the water ran off into the creeks. Roads were flooded and people were stuck in their homes for days. The drainage system in the city was not made to handle that much water. The pipe started to back up and the water wasn’t draining properly. The hospital was in danger of being flooded. I was one of the plumbing contractors called to work at the commercial site. We had to lay down 300 yards of plumbing pipe to reroute the drainage water. My crew and I worked for two days to lay down all of the pipes. After the storms were over, we went back to the hospital to remove the extra drainage. It was no longer necessary if there was no flooding. When my crew and I went back to retrieve all of the pipes, I spoke to the town manager and she told me that she wanted to get an estimate to redo all of the drainage system for the hospital. The commercial plumbing job will easily take a month or more if I work six days a week. I will probably make more money on that job then I will the rest of the jobs that I do this year. The plumbing contract at the hospital is one of the biggest that I have ever had and I will likely need to hire extra crew members to complete the work on time.

Basically, the air gets dried as it goes through the air conditioner and the moisture is collected via the condensate line. An old air conditioner is like mine, if this condensate line gets clogged it will back up into the air conditioner itself. That water then floods the air conditioner and the space underneath it as well. In my case thankfully my air conditioner is in my garage so all it did was create a pool of water on some concrete. I had to call the heating and cooling company to send out a technician to clear the frog clog.

My kids really want to go to the zoo later on this week but it has really been cold around here this week. Right now, we can only go a few times during the summer because it is too cold the rest of the year! I told them that I would go ahead and try it, but I am definitely not looking forward to it. At least some of the zoo exhibits have furnace systems installed inside of them. Most of the time, when we go to the zoo in the winter we are so cold that we don’t even enjoy ourselves at all. Hopefully, they will also have all of the portable heating units set up around the zoo and turned on full blast too. If not, we might regret going!

My husband Jon is an HVAC technician here in town and he really loves his job. He has been working as an HVAC technician for many years now, and so he’s really well versed in all things heating and cooling. Whenever I was a kid, I never thought that I would grow up and marry someone who is an HVAC technician. I always thought that I would marry a doctor or a lawyer or something like that. I guess I never really saw myself as being married to someone who is in one of the service industries. However, now that I am older, I am actually really glad that I ended up with John! He is a great guy, and we have the best indoor air quality of anyone in our entire neighborhood. We always have the best, most high tech heating and cooling systems of anyone around and we are hardly ever sick. I honestly think that the reason that my family and I are hardly ever sick is because we have a really great UV light air purification system that runs at the same time as our furnace and our air conditioning system. I know that UV light air purification systems are instrumental in cleaning the air in homes and businesses and that they are super helpful at keeping out germs and bacteria that can cause sickness. I think that our own air purification system does just that. I know that the indoor air quality in our house keeps us all happy and healthy. Marrying an HVAC technician like Jon was probably one of the smartest things I ever did.

I’ve been having issues with my central air conditioning system lately.

It’s been acting up for the past week, which has been frustrating.

The air conditioning works great one day, but it barely seems to do the job the next day. I’m nervous to contact my local HVAC company because I’m not sure how much money I want to spend, but it’s starting to get to the point where I don’t have a choice. Fortunately, I’m a little familiar with the HVAC company in my area. They have a great reputation for providing high quality heating and cooling services. There are a few HVAC technicians that work there that I grew up with and are very skilled and knowledgeable about HVAC systems. I’m very confident if I called the heating and cooling company they will send out someone who would be able to diagnose and repair my air conditioning system. I’m not thrilled about having to put up with the noise of any of the HVAC technician’s coming into my home to repair my HVAC system, but in the end, I will be thrilled that my air conditioning system will be working again. I remember living in this small town for a short period of time before coming back here and that small town had twin brothers. They would be bickering all the time and it was very annoying to listen to. The didn’t work well at all together but at the end of the day, the job they completed was great. You just had to suffer with the bickering. Now back home I have old friends who I know can help me out and hopefully, I can get a deal on my HVAC system.

My parents are not the wealthiest of people.

When they were young they fell in love and didn’t care about college or any impact they may cause by not trying to become successful adults.

This led to my mom working as a school janitor and my dad as a manager for a fast-food restaurant. I can at times see the stresses in their life and then there is me. They do their best to take care of me and I will continue to love them but I’ll make sure no one will get in my way to have a successful life. We live in a house that they haven’t really maintained well. They don’t really have the funds for repairs so I understand. We have all the essentials of a house but when things go bad it really hurts my parents. The one thing I wish we had was air conditioning but we don’t. So that is where my grandmother comes in. She just had the HVAC company send out a cooling technician to install a new HVAC system. Her house has always been well maintained and I tend to spend more time with my grandmother during the summer so I can get a decent sleep. She has always had good upkeep on her home so I always tend to look up to her for life successes. I have my own room at her house and she always tells me I’m allowed over. I think my parents are a bit jealous but they are hard workers for what they do so they let it happen. They want to see me not make the same mistakes as they have and they support it.

My dad and I always call each other to talk, or to vent if we are having frustrating days.

Ever since mom and my baby sister passed away, we have become each other’s rock.

It was such a sad tragedy, but in a way, their absence seemed to bring us closer. And this is something I appreciate since we weren’t too close during my teen years. I admit I rebelled so much, and this made dad and I butt heads all the time. Mom tried to understand me, but dad and I rarely saw eye to eye. But, now if you see us talking, you’d think we have been the best of friends for years. Life can be funny that way. Last week, dad called to vent about the heating system in his home. The previous winter, the heating system was faulty, and dad had to call the HVAC business three different times to send a heating expert to his home. They found a few faults with the heating system, and the last time the guy showed up, he advised dad to start planning to replace the heating system. There was no way the heating system could last another winter. And those are almost 5 months of non-stop cold and snow. Well, dad was afraid he’d have to pay for a new heating system, and they aren’t cheap nowadays. He’d been thinking of getting HVAC financing instead to finance the new unit. I asked him for the cost of the new unit and installation, and sent him the money for the work. I didn’t have much, but I could handle that expense for him.
