I had to meet with an HVAC buyer named Jo Last week.

I was supposed to drive down to the modern vacant lot where they just started building houses; Alas, all of the roads were completely closed off so I was unable to drive down to the development.

I contacted Jo as soon as I realized there was going to be a problem. Jo seemed to be perfectly good to reschedule the heating plus A/C review for a strange day. Jo seemed truly cheerful on the phone plus she gave myself and others no indication that rescheduling was a problem. Jo still decided to contact my boss to tell him that I did not want to do the job on that day, but I was already busy to be there. When my boss called myself and others on the phone for additional details, I told him the truth, which was the fact that the road was completely blocked. My boss inquired if there was a different, alternate route to take. I assured him that I looked for nearly 20 seconds trying to find a way down into the town. With such construction as this, it is adequate for there to be roads blocked off during the construction process. I assured the boss that I was cheerful to job on the heating plus A/C call as soon as the road was open for business again. Unless Jo expected myself and others to row a boat across the lake, there was really no way I was going to be able to get down that road until all of the road construction was done.

It smashed into many strange pieces

It seems to me that every time my fiance Tom plus I get modern things, the youngsters find a way to destroy them. I believe that youngsters will find trouble, and these youngsters will also cause messes, however I’m truly infuriated with the fact that the youngsters seem to chop everything before Tom and I ever have a chance to use it. Tom upgraded the garbage disposal with a brand modern machine. The youngsters broke it the following day by putting silverware in it. The brand modern recliner in the kitchen already has a tear plus the two of us have only had the chair since christmas. Tom plus I went to the hardware store over the weekend plus the two of us picked out a more modern smart temperature control for the house. Every one of us knew the smart temperature control unit would help us save money on all of our heating plus cooling bills. It took Tom nearly 3 hours to set up the smart temperature control. The Wi-Fi wasn’t exactly simple to suss out. They should have had a phone number to call for technical help instead of a couple of troubleshooting tips printed on the back of the page. I had told them they are supposed to go outside with the ball. They didn’t guess they were going to mess up anything, however my child threw the ball towards the wall plus my other child missed the catch. When I tried to put the thermostat back together, there was an error message on the front.

When Tom and I finally had a chance to go up to the lodge to make sure that everything was ready for the coming Winter, it was already too late. Without a furnace on, the condo was chilly cold. The furnace usually keeps the water pipes from getting too chilly. When the water pipes freeze, they can crack plus burst plus cause a whole lot of water disfigure. Our well was frozen when the two of us arrived plus the gas furnace wasn’t finally working either. I had to call a contractor from the town to come out to look at the gas furnace. It cost us an arm and a leg in fees paid to the repair service. Thankfully they had a weekend specialist available. Tom plus I were not prepared to stay there for numerous nights. Tom was hoping to get everything done on Tuesday plus then drive back home.

When I got to the office early this afternoon, there were numerous calls on the answering machine. A few of those messages were from my Commercial Heating plus A/C repair customers. One of the buyers was irate. He left a message letting myself and others believe that he called the emergency phone number four times plus no one answered… Chad plus Jason were on the emergency phone line the night previous. I called back both of them to find out why the phone line was not answered. I also called the other numerous people back that left messages. One of my customers was also infuriated because she called for emergency heating plus A/C repair help plus received no answer. The lady has been my buyer for 10 years plus she is thinking about calling someone else for heating or A/C repair help. I could not get Jason on the phone, however when I got Chad on the line I told him to come down to the office instantaneously. When he arrived, I still had not contacted the other repair specialist. I truthfully didn’t need him to find out what happened. Chad said everything he could about the previous night, however both of the men went to a bar plus got drunk. They didn’t answer any of the emergency calls plus let the phone calls go to voice text. They were way too drunk plus hung over to repair any heat pumps, furnaces, or a/c systems. Those numerous men have turned out to be a truly big disappointment. I had such High Hopes from them in the beginning, although I don’t guess that they want a truly hard job.

This year things are going to be a lot different. I am planning to keep the temperature controls at a comfortable plus manageable 70 degrees. I believe that;s going to infuriate the older ones. I might have to put my foot down plus be the hammer, although I cannot afford to spend 400 bucks a month to air condition the house. If the youngsters want to keep the a/c temperature control set to any temperature lower than 74, they are going to have to get a job or build a lemonade stand.

I was supposed to help a customer with a furnace repair last week, but the customer didn’t answer the phone when I called to confirm her appointment.

• Confirmation is important, because we don’t waste our time with customers that aren’t fully ready to have the service performed.

We don’t have time or gas to drive to the address only to be turned away. We always tell our customers that they have to confirm their appointments. They can email or even just text the message back and say yes. We send a message everyday to the customers that have an appointment the next day. Only confirmed appointments are added to the schedule. A woman was on the schedule for a heat pump repair but she had not confirmed. I tried to contact the woman during the morning hours to see if I could get her on the phone. The appointment was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. and I never reached the customer after calling three times. I never went to the address. The next day the customer contacted the heating and AC repair business to complain that we did not show up for a scheduled appointment. The guy in the office reminded the customer that we have a policy on confirmations and the customer never confirmed the appointment. She didn’t have anything to say after that. She asked if she could make another appointment for the next day. We were happy to get her back up on the schedule, but she was of course reminded again to answer the call or send us a text when you have to confirm your appointment.

When my wife and I were looking at houses, one thing that was really important to me was the fireplace.

I grew up in a house with a fireplace and I had warm and cozy memories of being in front of the flames and listening to the crackle of the fire.

I always pictured myself having a fireplace in my home, even if I had other ways to heat up the house. My wife and I found a beautiful house with a fireplace and a couple of other nice amenities like radiant heated flooring. The place was perfect for the two of us and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. The realtor was happy to help us by the house. She was one of the nicest people that I have ever met. The realtor worked with us the whole time we were trying to purchase the house. She wanted us to be successful. One way finally got the place, it was the middle of summer and there was no reason to use the fireplace. I patiently waited until the fall weather began and the temperatures got colder. I bought some firewood but I also talked to my husband about chopping down some wood or buying lumber from a yard. There are lots of places that sell cords of wood and they deliver for free as long as you get a truckload or more. In front of the fireplace is one of my favorite places to be. In fact, there really isn’t anywhere else in the house that I would rather sit and relax. When the weather is cold, I plan to use the fireplace every single day even if the furnace is running too.

My friends and I went to a concert and we drove about 150 miles.

It wasn’t a crazy long distance, but we were tired at the end of the night and we didn’t want to drive all the way back to the apartment.

I suggested we split the cost of a hotel room. It would only be about $20 per person for a four-star hotel that would have two beds and a place for us to sleep. My friends agreed that it was a good idea to get the hotel room. We started looking for a place close to the interstate. We found a name brand hotel with affordable prices and a pool. We didn’t really need the pool, but it was still a nice amenity. We were happy to find out that the place had a continental breakfast in the morning that was absolutely free. After we checked into the room, I started sneezing like crazy. I couldn’t stop myself. I was sneezing and sneezing and sneezing and I could not stop. A friend of mine turned off the air conditioner and the sneezing stopped. I realized the problem was the heating and AC system. Clearly there was dust or allergens inside of the machine. I only react this way when I am around dogs. I got an apology from the front desk clerk and she agreed to move us to a different room. She didn’t even ask a lot of questions. It was as if she knew we were going to complain. She didn’t try to argue and she moved us to a different room with a sincere apology for the heating and air conditioning system problems.

My boss has this crazy rule but nobody can leave the office until everyone has finished up with their work for the day.

Sometimes that can be a nuisance when you finish up an hour and a half before the rest of the crew. The boss will usually send us to help someone finish up, but oftentimes the heating and AC repairs do not require a second hand. We still have to wait until the last person finishes up. The boss thinks this is the fairest way to make sure that everyone does their work and does not try to complete things more quickly than they should be done. I’ve worked out a couple of other heating and AC service providers that have the same rule. I don’t like it, but I understand it. Last month I got sent downtown to help a guy with a ductless HVAC insulation job. The new guy was having some trouble. It really wasn’t his fault. The wiring for the building turned out to be much different than the blueprints showed. I was already at the office when the guy called for help and I told my boss that I would go. Every once in a while it’s nice to look like a team player. When I got to the apartment, I understood exactly why the guy needed help. There was no way of knowing where any of the wiring was located because of the crazy construction that was done on the building 40 years ago. We worked on that installation until almost 8:30.
