This is the first Spring where I’m not cussing the level of heat and humidity as I exercise.

And I’m not at all talking about going for a run or anything else outside. Nope, I’m talking about walking inside a gym that’s supposed to have some commercial HVAC that provides an adequate level of heating and cooling. I’m not complaining about the commercial HVAC in the gym any longer because I dumped that gym membership in the Fall. It’s not that I just gave in to being a fat guy at 51 either. No, I just got so sick of walking into a space where I was perspiring before I even got to the locker room. The commercial HVAC component in that locale was either under sized, ancient, or just completely messed up. The commercial HVAC in that joint was regularly overwhelmed whether it be winter season or Summer. But it was so tough from May through October. I just couldn’t take forking over that amount of money for zero heating and cooling comfort. Instead, I took some savings and made my own gym. I have a two car garage that is now a one car garage and a home gym. Thanks to the HVAC dealer, I have a ductless heat pump inside the garage. Oh man, the air conditioning comfort is just so amazing. And I can’t hardly believe that this is all coming from something that is just so small. My wife is even getting in on some air conditioner and exercise as I bought an elliptical unit that she loves a lot.

I was so relieved when I saw that the first Covid test came up negative. I felt like complete hell but at least I wasn’t dealing with Covid. That was the last winter season and I was vaccinated. I wasn’t up to dealing with all the mess that goes with that virus, and just having to hole up inside the central air conditioning was more than I could have dealt with. I easily can’t do any sort of a repeat of being stuck inside our home like we were when the pandemic was raging. Still, I battled whatever flu that hit me for more than a week. And for weeks after, I was still battling sinus and chest congestion to a large degree. It got to the point that my husband was looking at me sideways every time I started coughing. So I headed for the doctor’s office which is not something that I really like to do. And I was so surprised that I didn’t come away with a prescription for some sort of medication to heal me up. Instead, I came away with the directive to simply call the HVAC dealership. The doctor thought my symptoms were lingering because of the indoor air quality of my home. And that turned out to be exactly the case, but once the HVAC pro performed the air duct cleaning and air duct resealing, my cough vanished overnight. But I also got a bonus gift with this HVAC service; the air duct resealing has ended up saving me money. I easily have to hand it to my fiance, that man is a persistent animal and just keeps on persevering. He did whatever he had to do when it came to following his passion and making time for his art. And we now have a full on studio space added to our home to show for it, my fiance would have never been mistaken for the sort that was destined for the zone controlled HVAC of a highrise downtown. That’s my basket for sure, but I knew the second I met him that he was a true artist to the core and I think that was part of the initial attraction. I spent many afternoons inside the radiant heating of my dorm room hoping that he liked me as much as I liked him. The more we got to know each other, the more natural it felt to be together. I headed for that zone controlled HVAC of an office right out of college, he went on to get an MFA, and we were apart for about a year and a half. That proved to be the last time we were ever apart for any extended amount of time. Since then, he’s held up his end with private tutoring, a little teaching, and even landscaping. But now he’s selling his art in a large way and so we added a large addition to the back of our house. This is now his studio space that he heads to every day as I head to the zone controlled HVAC of my office. It’s that time of year once again, however it won’t be much longer before I close all the windows and doors for good as the air conditioner goes on and stays on for at least three or so straight months.

This is indeed not my favorite time of year by any stretch of the imagination! Still, I cherish where I live and the brutal Summer heat and humidity are just part of it. The more one resists the heat, the worse it feels. I’ve learned that changing to the rising rapidly increasing temperatures is the best way to not be completely overwhelmed by the heat once Summer gets here. I mean, who wants to spend the entire summer time either inside the commercial HVAC of work or inside the central air conditioner of one’s home? I don’t for sure. I’m so thankful to have an air conditioner but I also like to get outside during the Summer too. Last Summer, I learned yet another lesson when it comes to the air conditioner in my house. I came home from a legitimately early day of golf to a home that was tepid and sticky. The air conditioner was working when I left but obviously something happened while I was out. The heat pump was still running so I thought that maybe I could find an obvious solution. Three hours and more than three bloodied knuckles later, I called the HVAC pros. Not only had I not fixed the HVAC equipment, I had made things just that much worse by my attempt at HVAC repairs.

My spouse & I are in the middle of a particularly sizable fight.

It’s because she says that I cannot get the little Heating & Air Conditioning system for my dog’s condo out in the backyard that I particularly want to get.

She says that I spoil the dog too much, although I just don’t feel that’s true. I mean, I feel like anyone who particularly loves their dog would do the exact same thing. Maybe I am wrong, although I personally feel like every dog out there should have their own personal Heating & Air Conditioning system. After all, dogs deserve to stay comfortable just as much as humans do. At least, that is the way that I feel about it. I don’t know what my spouse’s problem is though. She says that I am consistently spending way too much loot on the dog, but just because I pay a lot to get the dog modern clothes & toenail polish at the groomer’s does not particularly mean anything. I mean, the sizable modern dog condo that I had built in the backyard in particular isn’t even all that much. I didn’t even get the fanciest carpet put in that I could have. Also, I hung up particularly cheap artwork in there. The dog doesn’t even have great artwork haha. So I can’t particularly understand why she has a problem with the fact that I want to put a little Heating & Air Conditioning system in the dog’s home. I feel that she is just being overly cheap. I am going to call to get a quote from the Heating & Air Conditioning company & then my lady and I will see what’s what.

Hey, here’s an idea, read the Heating & Air Conditioning warranty. This was something that should be required studying for any homeowner out there. I learned just how important it is to make sure you understand some particulars in that Heating & Air Conditioning warranty. Periodically lessons like this needlessly become quite extravagant lessons. Man, was that ever the case in my situation. But again, studying the Heating & Air Conditioning warranty should be required for every owner. But I was far too cool for that. I consider myself fairly handy around the house and I like a home improvement project if you know what I mean. All I needed to know about the Heating & Air Conditioning warranty was that it was registered with the Heating & Air Conditioning company on time. I feel I had like a 70 or 80 day window to get the modern Heating & Air Conditioning component warranty registered. And oh yea, I was pretty proud of myself for knowing that detail. Turns out, I didn’t know half of it. So fast forward a few years & there appears to be a hiccup with the air conditioner one afternoon. The heat pump was running but not cooling. I didn’t call the Heating & Air Conditioning professionals & tried to figure it out on my own. No way, I don’t need a Heating & Air Conditioning pro for that because I can do home improvement projects. I feel in my mind that work somehow equated to years of particular Heating & Air Conditioning training & certifications. Of course, I only made it worse & I had to end up calling the Heating & Air Conditioning corp. Had I read the Heating & Air Conditioning warranty, I’d have called the Heating & Air Conditioning professionals from the jump, and I would also still have a warranty on my Heating & Air Conditioning equipment. But I voided that by working on the Heating & Air Conditioning component myself like a bozo.

Yep, I feel the neighbors have gone all in on the air conditioner all the time now. It’s almost mid April & that seems about right. Those are some kind people & I’m sure lucky they live next door. They’re from up north & have only been here a couple of years. They don’t take to the heat & humidity and they had hoped I guess. Once June rolls around they stay sealed up in the air conditioning. Seriously, they go from the garage to the air conditioning of a motorcar to work. There they are inside the commercial Heating & Air Conditioning of that office all afternoon. Back inside the air conditioner of the motorcar to the garage & then inside the central air conditioner of their home. This is the biweekly routine until at least September. Well, except for the weekends. Then, they just stay sealed up inside the central air conditioner morning, noon, & night. Again, I’m quite serious. I sure miss my neighbors during the Summer. But dang, how in the world do they afford all the cooling costs. I checked & their SEER rating is about the same as our heat pump. Man, I have a full plan of attack when it comes to air conditioner costs. I’m all about prepping the condo to save on air conditioner usage. And I’m a temperature control hawk when it comes to the Summer. I’m even doing all the cooking outside this Summer so I don’t use the stove & heat up the home. Even then, I hate opening the utility bill from June through September. My neighbors must be paying an absolute fortune in cooling expenses.

My spouse & I have decided to stay put now that my pal and I are Grandparents. I don’t know what it is but the idea of leaving for the south & all that air conditioning didn’t seem right. Once the grandbabies were born, my pal and I were both rethinking our plans. However, for more than a decade we’d been actively planning to upgrade the Heating & Air Conditioning component in our home, sell it, & transfer to the land of the heat pump. My buddy and I would vacation in areas that my pal and I thought we might want to retire to. And my pal and I had even begun looking for homes down there. But my pal and I just added a sunroom as a nod to all that time in the daylight we didn’t pursue. For sure, it’s going to add value to our property, but my pal and I enjoy being out there, and the ductless heat pump my pal and I had installed by the Heating & Air Conditioning company provides just the best quality heating & air. This will be our second summer time with the sunroom. I have to say that the air conditioner from the ductless heat pump is so impressive. And the heating is good too as my pal and I stayed out there all winter this past year.

It periodically just blows my mind the way some folks take care of their property.

All I have to do is go for a bike ride anywhere in town & I see examples of homeowners who either gave up or never cared.

I like to get out of the central air conditioning of my condo to get exercise on a regular basis. Weather permitting, I’ll make forays outside of the air conditioner every afternoon if I can. Biking is my thing but I’m not a drastic cyclist with a five thousand dollar bike & outfit to match. I see these women all the time. No, I have a wonderful bike, a helmet & some padded bike shorts for my butt. That’s all I need to take a ride. And no matter where I go, I see people who just let their homes go. Sure, I understand that it takes time, cash, & effort to take care of a home & property. But we’re talking essential stuff here. I take care of my condo & the stuff in it. That goes for the heating & cooling component as well. I make sure that the heat pump gets seasonal Heating & Air Con service every single year. In fact, the Heating & Air Conditioning company was just here to do the air conditioner tune up last week. I change my air filter every single month as well, that & I check the condo to be sure that the Heating & Air Conditioning air ducts are all open & unclogged. I also check on the Heating & Air Conditioning unit outside to be sure that there is no debris on it or around it. Again, this does take some effort but it’s basic stuff & yet so many people just don’t even try.

It’s unusual how suddenly life can change for a person, or on a planet for that matter, and the pandemic genuinely proved that to be true.
