I’m so thankful that I care about where I live, then that hasn’t typically been the case even though I’m now living not at all far from where I grew up; but when I was a kid, I thought this region was too hot, too quiet and boring, and I’m also sure I wasn’t the only teenager to suppose that way. I ended up leaving all that air conditioner to transfer to the north for college, but my college experience was awesome but I undoubtedly hated living in the dorm room while I was in the winter. The dorm I lived in had a giant boiler that produced plenty of radiant heating. But that radiant heating was either off or full sauna. I ended up taking a task right out of college that kept me in the north for a few more years, then however, I just never could get accustomed to the winter. This led me to take a lateral transfer with the company just so I could get back to the south… And man, am I ever cheerful? I definitely did that. I guess having lived away from this region for a while gave me a whole other perspective when it came to appreciating this area, and sure, the summer time is hot, humid and comes with a whole lot of air conditioning. I’m sure starting this year out breathing much easier than when I started 2021 plus 2022, then those 2 years were absolutely an enormous challenge for us financially, but my pal and I almost got close to having to sell our home.
